The Gospel of Mark Chapter 10 V- 26 and 31
26 They were exceedingly astonished and said among themselves, “Then who can be saved?”27 Jesus looked at them and said, “For human beings it is impossible, but not for God. All things are possible for God.” 28 Peter began to say to him, “We have given up everything and followed you.”29 Jesus said, “Amen, I say to you, there is no one who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for my sake and for the sake of the gospel 30 who will not receive a hundred times more now in this present age: houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and eternal life in the age to come. 31 But many that are first will be last, and [the] last will be first.”
In Mark 10:26-31, we find a profound teaching from Jesus about the dynamics of the Kingdom of God, where the last shall be first and the first shall be last. Here, Jesus emphasizes that in God's economy, our worldly notions of success are often turned upside down. When His disciples questioned how it is possible for anyone to be saved, Jesus reminded them that with God, all things are possible. This powerful affirmation brings hope to those who may feel last or least in the eyes of the world, for in God's eyes, our position is transformed.
Being last in this world often elevates us in God's Kingdom. It is a call to humility and surrender, inviting us to rest in the joy of our salvation. When we slow down and truly recognize our dependence on Jesus, we become one with Him. We find that in moments of surrender, whether through trials or the daily grind of life, Jesus meets us with grace and love, filling our hearts with peace and joy.
As we navigate the complexities of life, let us not worry about our place in society or our achievements. Instead, let us focus on nurturing our relationship with Christ. When we prioritize being one with Jesus, we acknowledge our need for Him and embrace His grace. Each step we take in faith leads us closer to the abundant life He promises.
Remember, true fulfillment comes not from striving to be first but from finding joy and peace in our salvation. Embrace the last position willingly, and you may discover the richest blessings of being first in God’s heart. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**First Will be Last and the Last will be First**
Inquiring hearts, the disciples sought,
"Who can be saved?" was the question they brought.
With pondering eyes, they gazed in despair,
But Jesus spoke truth, His love laid bare.
“Indeed, it is hard for the wealthy to find,
The narrow road’s path, when wealth clouds the mind.
Yet with God, all things are possible still,
In His boundless grace, all hearts He can fill.
The last shall be first, let humility reign,
For treasures in heaven come through joy and pain.
Leave all for the Savior, He’ll guide every part,
In serving and loving, you’ll find peace of heart.
So fear not the struggle, nor worry the race,
For the heights of salvation await our embrace.
In unity with Jesus, let our spirits combine,
As we seek out His purpose, our lives intertwined. Amen.
