The Letter to the Hebrews Chapter 11 V- One and Three

1 Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen. 2 Because of it the ancients were well attested. 3 By faith we understand that the universe was ordered by the word of God, so that what is visible came into being through the invisible.

Hebrews 11:1-3 beautifully encapsulates the essence of faith, stating, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” These verses remind us that faith is not merely a passive belief but an active trust in God’s promises. It is the assurance that what we hope for will come to pass, rooted in the character of our God who is faithful and true.

In my life, I am guided by this profound faith, a faith that transcends the visible and tangible. I trust in His Word, which has stood the test of time, offering wisdom and hope to countless generations. This trust is anchored in the invisible love of God, made manifest through His Only Begotten Son, Jesus Christ. The sacrificial love displayed on the Cross serves as the ultimate testament to God’s commitment to humanity, bearing our sins and reconciling us to Him. It is a love that compels me to respond in faith, believing in a God who sees beyond the present and whispers promises of a future filled with hope.

Verse 3 further illustrates that by faith, we understand that the universe was formed at God’s command. This recognition of His sovereignty over all creation deepens my conviction that He is indeed the God of all. I find solace in knowing that the invisible world is as real as the material one, shaped by His divine will.

In trusting this God, I embrace a faith that is alive and dynamic, one that assures me of His presence and love in every circumstance. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. The Soul of my sister-in-law Carmen. Death Uncle Donald. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**By Faith We Understand the Universe**

In shadows cast by doubt and fear,

Faith whispers softly, drawing us near,

The substance of our hopes held eternally tight,

In unseen realms, it brings forth His light.

By trust in words that God has spoken,

We find the strength when hearts are broken,

The world created by His loving hand,

In faith we walk, though we don't understand.

Invisible love, a Cross so grand,

His Son, our Savior, took the stand,

In every promise, hope we find,

With faith, our hearts and souls aligned. Amen.
