The Letter to the Romans Chapter 8 Verse 35 thru 39

35 What will separate us from the love of Christ? Will anguish, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or the sword? 36 As it is written: “For your sake we are being slain all the day; we are looked upon as sheep to be slaughtered.” 37 No, in all these things we conquer overwhelmingly through him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor present things, nor future things, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:35-39 is a powerful passage in the New Testament that speaks to the enduring love of God and the unbreakable bond believers have in Christ. The verses read:

"37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39 neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

In these verses, the Apostle Paul emphasizes the victory that believers possess through their relationship with Jesus Christ. By stating that we are "more than conquerors," Paul reassures Christians that regardless of the challenges and adversities they face—be it suffering, persecution, or even death—they can find strength and triumph through Christ's love.

Paul methodically lists various forces and circumstances—angels, demons, the present and future, height and depth—reminding readers that no entity or situation can disrupt the divine love that connects them to God. This affirmation of faith serves as both comfort and encouragement. It reassures believers that their salvation and connection to God are secure, fostering a sense of peace amid life's uncertainties.

Ultimately, Romans 8:35-39 summarizes the core Christian belief in the steadfastness of God's love. It invites believers to reflect on their identity in Christ and empowers them to face trials with hope and resilience. Through these verses, Paul invites all to embrace the transformative power of divine love, assuring us that no matter what may come, we are held firmly within that love, creating a profound sense of belonging and security in the life of faith. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

08-02-2026 Romans 8 v3539

**The Love of God In Christ Jesus Our Lord**

In depths of night or light of day,

What can separate us, come what may?

Is it trouble, or anguish, or fear's cold breath?

Not a wound, nor a trial, nor even death.

For love's embrace, strong and true,

In every moment, it carries you.

Foes may gather, storms may brew,

Yet none can sever this bond anew.

With heights unmeasured and depths unknown,

No power, no force, no place alone

Can cut us off from the love divine,

That's found in Him, our hearts entwined.

Principalities, or things yet to be,

All pale in the light of His decree.

For in His promise, we stand secure,

In every struggle, His love is pure.

So fear not the shadows, nor the pain,

For even in loss, there's much to gain.

With God beside us, we rise and soar,

Forever held in His love, our core.

No distance too far, no mountain too steep,

His love goes deeper than the sea's great sweep.

In Christ, we find that all things work right,

For nothing can separate us from His eternal light. Amen.
