The 1st Letter to the Romans Ch 8 Verse 28 thru 31
28 We know that all things work for good for those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. 29 For those he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, so that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30 And those he predestined he also called; and those he called he also justified; and those he justified he also glorified. 31 What then shall we say to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:28-31 is a profound passage that encourages believers by affirming God's unwavering support and purpose in their lives. It starts with the assurance that, "in all things God works for the good of those who love him." This verse reassures us that even in our trials and hardships, there is a divine plan at work—one that ultimately aims for our benefit and growth as individuals rooted in faith.
The declaration, "If God is for us, who can be against us?" is particularly powerful. It invites us to consider the omnipotence and faithfulness of God. When we grasp the enormity of God’s support—His love, compassion, and sovereignty—our fears and anxieties can diminish. The apostle Paul reminds us that, despite the challenges we encounter, God's presence in our lives is a formidable strength, making us resilient against adversities and opposition. It emphasizes the concept that no external force can truly thwart our progress if we are aligned with God's will.
Moreover, the passage delves into the depth of God's commitment to us, referencing His willingness to sacrifice His own Son. This ultimate act of love assures us that everything God does is motivated by love and a desire for our welfare. It suggests that, in light of His immense love, we can face life's uncertainties with courage.
Romans 8:28-31 crafts a picture of hope and victory rooted in divine support. "If God is for us, who can be against us?" stands as a triumphant declaration for believers, reminding us that with faith and trust in God, we can overcome any challenges that life presents. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

If God Is For Us Who Can Be Against Us
In shadows deep, where doubts may rise,
A promise gleams, beneath the skies.
For those who love, for hearts entwined,
All things work good, with purpose aligned.
The tapestry of fate is spun,
By hands divine, the Holy One.
Through trials faced and sorrows sown,
In every tear, His love is known.
Predestined hearts, through grace bestowed,
To bear the weight of love’s abode.
Called forth from darkness, into the light,
Justified, embraced, our spirits ignite.
Who can accuse, when grace prevails?
In Christ we stand, where mercy sails.
No height nor depth, no fear can sever,
The bond of love that binds us forever.
So let us trust, embrace the call,
For in His hands, we rise, we fall.
Each moment crafted, designed with care,
All things are workings of love laid bare.
With confidence we stride, our rolling stone,
For God is for us, we’ve found our home.
Against us who, with faith we see,
In every heartbeat, He’s here with me. Amen.
