The Letter to the Romans Chapter 12 Verse One thru Two
1 I urge you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, your spiritual worship. 2 Do not conform yourselves to this age but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and pleasing and perfect.
Romans 12:1-2 is a powerful exhortation that invites believers to present their bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God. This act of worship calls for a profound transformation in how we live our daily lives. Paul urges us to not conform to the patterns of this world, which often sway us towards selfish desires and distractions, but to be transformed by the renewal of our minds. This renewal is essential for discerning the good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.
In today’s fast-paced and often chaotic world, it’s easy to become overwhelmed by external influences that can distort our understanding of God’s purpose for our lives. Therefore, it is crucial that we engage with the Bible daily. Reading Scripture allows us to immerse ourselves in God’s teachings, fostering a deeper relationship with Him and a clearer understanding of His will for us. The more we read and meditate on the Word, the more our minds are aligned with God’s truth, leading to true transformation.
As we commit to this daily practice, we begin to see the world through a different lens, one that prioritizes love, humility, and service—qualities that reflect Christ’s example. By continuously renewing our minds, we become equipped to resist cultural pressures and discerning in our decision-making. This daily discipline invites the Holy Spirit to work within us, shaping our thoughts, actions, and desires.
Let us be diligent in seeking God through His Word each day. As we do, we will not only experience personal transformation but also become instruments of His will in a world that desperately needs His hope and love. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

What Is Good Pleasing And Perfect
In the shadow of grace, where mercy flows,
We gather our hearts, as the Spirit bestows.
With bodies not passive, but vibrant and whole,
Presenting ourselves, a gift to the soul.
“Offer your lives,” the ancient words say,
“Be living sacrifices, in work and in play.”
Not bound by the world, nor swayed by its might,
Transformed in the light, we embrace the true right.
Renewed in our minds, like the dawn breaking clear,
To discern what is good and hold what is dear.
Rejecting the patterns that lead us astray,
We seek out His will, come what may.
For in humble obedience, our spirits will soar,
In love’s endless cycle, we find so much more.
The heart of our calling, in service we stand,
As we offer our lives, in unity, hand in hand. Amen.
