The Book of Revelation Ch 12 Verse 7 thru 12

7 Then war broke out in heaven; Michael and his angels battled against the dragon. The dragon and its angels fought back, 8 but they did not prevail and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. 9 The huge dragon, the ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, who deceived the whole world, was thrown down to earth, and its angels were thrown down with it. 10 Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: “Now have salvation and power come, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Anointed. For the accuser of our brothers is cast out, who accuses them before our God day and night. 11 They conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony; love for life did not deter them from death. 12 Therefore, rejoice, you heavens, and you who dwell in them. But woe to you, earth and sea, for the Devil has come down to you in great fury, for he knows he has but a short time.”

In Revelation 12:7-12, we witness a profound celestial conflict that underscores a pivotal truth about the ultimate supremacy of God. This passage depicts a war in heaven where Michael and his angels engage in battle against the dragon, symbolizing Satan. The dragon, depicted as the accuser of the faithful, is defeated and ultimately cast out of heaven. This dramatic imagery illustrates not just a physical battle, but a spiritual one, emphasizing the reality of good versus evil in the universe.

The moment of Satan's expulsion from heaven signifies the end of his accusations against God’s people, affirming that he has no more power to bring condemnation before the throne of God. The triumphant declaration, "They have overcome him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony" (Revelation 12:11), highlights our victory through Christ. This victory is not accomplished by our own strength but by the sacrificial love and power of Jesus.

As we reflect on this passage, we are reminded that the authority over the universe rests solely with our Father in heaven. His ultimate judgment will lead to the eternal condemnation of Satan in the fire prepared for him. This assurance brings hope and courage to believers, knowing that though the accuser may rage against us, his defeat is certain.

In the grand narrative of Scripture, we are invited to embrace the truth that God reigns supreme. The very breath of God carries the power to vanquish all forces of darkness. In the end, the victory belongs to God, and we, as His children, can stand firm in faith, resting in His power and love. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

The Devil Has But A Short Time

In the heavens, a war arose, 

A clash where light and darkness goes, 

Michael stood, an angel brave, 

With forces strong, the truth to save. 

The dragon fierce, his form so sly, 

With scale and tail, he sought to fly, 

To claim his throne, to cast away, 

The hope of Heaven in disarray. 

But the heavens rang with victory's call, 

As the mighty fell, the proud ones fall, 

"Accuser, you’re cast down, no more will you roam, 

The kingdom of Heaven, is our righteous home." 

Rejoice, O skies, and earth below, 

For darkness shrouds not what they know, 

The blood of the Lamb, the witness true, 

Has conquered the serpent, has made all things new. 

For now, we sing, with voices untamed, 

Of freedom found, of lives reclaimed, 

For the enemy's whispers are silenced and still, 

In the light of the Lamb, we find our goodwill. 

So, tremble not, O faithful and kind, 

For in trials faced, His peace you will find, 

The promise of dawn, the truth we embrace, 

In every heart, the hope of His grace. Amen.
