The Book of Revelation Chapter 2 V- 8 and 11
8 “To the angel of the church in Smyrna, write this: “‘The first and the last, who once died but came to life, says this: 9 “I know your tribulation and poverty, but you are rich. I know the slander of those who claim to be Jews and are not, but rather are members of the assembly of Satan. 10 Do not be afraid of anything that you are going to suffer. Indeed, the devil will throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will face an ordeal for ten days. Remain faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. 11 “‘“Whoever has ears ought to hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The victor shall not be harmed by the second death.”’
In Revelation 2:8-11, we encounter a profound message to the church in Smyrna, a community facing trials and tribulations. The Lord acknowledges their suffering and poverty but affirms that they are rich in faith. This passage calls us to a deep surrender, echoing the sentiment that true strength is found in vulnerability before God. The warning of impending persecution is clear: believers should prepare for slander and tribulation, particularly from those who have chosen to embrace the ways of the world.
This world often elevates the weak who seek pleasure and comfort, yet it is a fleeting solace that ultimately serves the Devil's agenda. Those who chase after worldly desires will inevitably face the consequences of their choices, while the faithful are called to endure. Our surrender until death becomes a testament to our unwavering commitment to God's truth and purpose. We stand firm against the tide of cultural compromise, knowing that our strength lies not in the applause of the world but in our identity as the redeemed.
Through the trials we face, we can find solace in the promises of Christ, who reminds us that those who overcome will not be hurt by the second death. As we listen to the Spirit of Truth, we are encouraged to cling to our salvation and to serve the lost, the lonely, and the languished amidst these challenges. We are called to be beacons of hope in a world filled with despair, reflecting the love of Christ to those around us. In surrendering fully to Him, we find life, purpose, and the assurance that our tribulations are not in vain. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Remain Faithful Until Death**
In Smyrna's heart, where shadows dwell,
A faithful few, with stories to tell,
Their trials deep, their spirits bright,
In poverty's grasp, they shine with light.
"Fear not," He says, "though the road is steep,
Your crown awaits, for I shall keep,
Those who slander, who walk in night,
Shall see the truth; in Me, there's right."
For tribulation comes, with whispers of dread,
Yet in their surrender, hope is spread.
The world may mock, but they stand tall,
Embracing the call, they answer the thrall.
The Devil prowls, with pleasure in hand,
Luring the weak to forsake the stand.
But the redeemed rise, with hearts aflame,
In trials and sorrow, they bear His name.
"Be faithful unto death," the Spirit implores,
For in your struggle, My love restores.
The second death holds no power here,
In Christ, they find courage, dispelling all fear.
So let us remember, as we walk this way,
With faith as our anchor, we shall not sway.
For in our surrender, we find strength anew,
In the arms of the Savior, our hope is true.
With every trial, our spirits ascend,
In the face of the world, on Him we depend.
For He is our promise, our guide, our friend,
In the light of His love, we will never end. Amen.
