The Book of Psalms Chapter 33 Verses 1 thru 22

1 Rejoice, you righteous, in the LORD; praise from the upright is fitting. 2 Give thanks to the LORD on the harp; on the ten-stringed lyre offer praise. 3 Sing to him a new song; skillfully play with joyful chant. 4 For the LORD’s word is upright; all his works are trustworthy. 5 He loves justice and right. The earth is full of the mercy of the LORD. 6 By the LORD’s word the heavens were made; by the breath of his mouth all their host. 7 He gathered the waters of the sea as a mound; he sets the deep into storage vaults. 8 Let all the earth fear the LORD; let all who dwell in the world show him reverence. 9 For he spoke, and it came to be, commanded, and it stood in place. 10 The LORD foils the plan of nations, frustrates the designs of peoples. 11 But the plan of the LORD stands forever, the designs of his heart through all generations. 12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD, the people chosen as his inheritance. 13 From heaven the LORD looks down and observes the children of Adam, 14 From his dwelling place he surveys all who dwell on earth. 15 The One who fashioned together their hearts is the One who knows all their works. 16 A king is not saved by a great army, nor a warrior delivered by great strength. 17 Useless is the horse for safety; despite its great strength, it cannot be saved. 18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon those who fear him, upon those who count on his mercy, 19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive through famine. 20 Our soul waits for the LORD, he is our help and shield. 21 For in him our hearts rejoice; in his holy name we trust. 22 May your mercy, LORD, be upon us; as we put our hope in you.

Psalm 33:1-22 is a beautiful proclamation of trust and hope in the Lord. The psalmist calls upon the faithful to rejoice and praise God with instruments and joyful hearts. This vibrant opening reflects the essence of worship—a communal response to the greatness of God. As we dive deeper into these verses, we encounter powerful themes that remind us of our complete surrender to God’s will and grace.

The psalm highlights that the word of the Lord is steadfast and powerful. By simply speaking, God brings creation into existence, underscoring His sovereignty and control over all things. This reminds us that our souls must patiently wait for Him, embracing the profound peace found in surrendering our lives to His plan. In a world filled with uncertainty, we are called to trust in His faithful love and righteousness.

Furthermore, the psalm emphasizes forgiveness and grace, foundational to our faith. As we experience God’s forgiveness in our lives, we are encouraged to extend that same grace to others. In doing so, we embody the very heart of the Gospel, illustrating that our lives are not merely our own but transformed by His mercy, forever grateful for the Life Eternal given to those who believe.

Ultimately, Psalm 33 invites us to reflect on God's majesty while also reminding us of our human reliance on His goodness. In complete surrender, we find our true purpose and identity. As we wait for the Lord, may our souls be filled with hope, knowing that in His perfect time, He provides for all our needs and grants us the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

07-09-2025 Psalm 33 v0122

**To Deliver Their Soul from Death**

Rejoice, O hearts of joy profound,

Lift praises high, let music sound,

With harps and voices, songs we share,

In grateful worship, free from care.

The Word of God, so true and bright,

Brings forth the dawn, dispels the night.

With breath divine, He formed the earth,

And every creature has its worth.

His plans stand firm through every test,

In faith we find our hearts at rest.

The nations rise, their hopes entwined,

But in His love, true peace we find.

Our soul waits for the Lord so near,

In quiet trust, dispelling fear.

He’s our help and shield so strong,

In Him alone, we all belong.

Forgiveness flows from heaven’s grace,

A gift bestowed in His embrace.

As we receive, so freely share,

A tapestry of love and eternal care.

Eternal life, a promise clear,

For all who trust, for all who hear.

With eyes of faith, we find our way,

In every moment, come what may.

So let our spirits rise and sing,

In every heart, His joy we bring.

With every breath, in Him we find,

A love, a hope, forever kind. Amen.
