The Gospel of Mark Chapter 1 Verse 29 thru 39

29 On leaving the synagogue he entered the house of Simon and Andrew with James and John.30 Simon’s mother-in-law lay sick with a fever. They immediately told him about her. 31 He approached, grasped her hand, and helped her up. Then the fever left her and she waited on them. 32 When it was evening, after sunset, they brought to him all who were ill or possessed by demons. 33 The whole town was gathered at the door. 34 He cured many who were sick with various diseases, and he drove out many demons, not permitting them to speak because they knew him. 35 Rising very early before dawn, he left and went off to a deserted place, where he prayed. 36 Simon and those who were with him pursued him 37 and on finding him said, “Everyone is looking for you.” 38 He told them, “Let us go on to the nearby villages that I may preach there also. For this purpose have I come.” 39 So he went into their synagogues, preaching and driving out demons throughout the whole of Galilee.

In Mark 1:29-39, we find a profound illustration of Jesus’ ministry filled with compassion and diligence. After healing Peter’s mother-in-law, we see a crowd gather at the door, desperate for healing and hope. Jesus, moved by their suffering, extends His hand, demonstrating the heart of God through His acts of kindness and mercy. The following morning, before the sun rises, Jesus retreats to a solitary place to pray (Mark 1:35). This moment reveals the importance of prayer in His life, serving both as an anchor of strength and a source of divine guidance.

In our own lives, we should embrace this model of unceasing prayer, integrating it into every aspect of our existence. Just as Jesus sought solitude to connect with the Father, we are called to cultivate a continuous dialogue with God, allowing His love and wisdom to permeate our hearts. Through persistent prayer, we not only fortify our relationship with God but also position ourselves to instill love, faith, and hope to those we encounter.

As we embody the righteousness exemplified by Jesus, we become vessels of His grace, sharing the profound message of salvation with everyone around us. Our prayers can transcend our needs and become a source of encouragement for others, fostering a community rooted in faith and love. As we lift our voices in prayer, we invite others into the same relationship that transforms lives, offering a reminder of the hope found in Christ.

May our lives be marked by this unceasing prayer, reminding us that in every moment, we have the opportunity to share the love of Jesus and the promise of salvation. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

01-14-2026 Mark 1 v2939

**He Went Off To A Deserted Place Where He Prayed**

In Capernaum, the sun sets low,

A day beyond the river's flow,

With weary feet and hearts anew,

The Savior comes, His life to imbue.

From synagogue, the whispers spread,

Of healing grace He freely shed,

A fevered woman, frail and ill,

With gentle touch, He healed her will.

He grasped her hand, the warmth returned,

In her, a flame of hope discerned,

"Arise," He calls, "your burdens cease,"

In service now, she sings of peace.

As twilight falls, the shadows blend,

The townsfolk gather, all wounds to mend,

The thronging crowd, they seek His light,

In every dark, He shines so bright.

He casts out demons, silent screams,

Restores the broken, fulfills their dreams,

A glimpse of heaven, His mercy flows,

In every touch, His love bestows.

Yet dawn will rise with a new command,

As He withdraws to a lonely land,

In quiet prayer, He seeks a way,

To guide the lost and lead the stray.

"Come forth," He whispers, "I must journey far,

To all the towns, where souls are scarred,

For this is why I came, to preach,

The good news of grace, to all I reach."

So in those verses, stories old,

The heart of Christ, we come to behold,

A healer, teacher, both fierce and kind,

In Him, our refuge, true peace we find. Amen.
