Letter to the Philippians Ch 4 Verse Four thru Nine
4 Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice! 5 Your kindness should be known to all. The Lord is near. 6 Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. 7 Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. 9 Keep on doing what you have learned and received and heard and seen in me. Then the God of peace will be with you.
In Philippians 4:4-9, the Apostle Paul offers profound encouragement to the Christian community in Philippi and, by extension, to all believers. He begins with a call to rejoice in the Lord always, underscoring that joy should be a constant in our lives, rooted in our relationship with Christ. This exhortation is not merely a suggestion but a prompt to cultivate a heart of gratitude, even amidst life's challenges.
Paul then emphasizes the importance of our thoughts and the power that they hold. He urges us to focus on what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and gracious. Each of these attributes serves as a guiding principle for discerning the goodness of God in our daily lives. By channeling our energy toward positive and divine things, we not only uplift our own spirits but also reflect Christ's light to those around us.
Moreover, Paul reminds us to practice what we have learned and received in Christ. This involves embodying the virtues of faith, love, and compassion that Jesus modeled for us. As we strive to live out these teachings, we invite the God of peace into our hearts—a peace that surpasses all understanding, providing comfort and assurance even in turbulent times.
In every circumstance, let us give thanks and praise to Christ for His continual presence and blessings. When we align our thoughts and actions with His teachings, we can rest in the promise that the God of peace will be with us, guiding and sustaining us. May we always remember to rejoice, to reflect on beauty and virtue, and to live in gratitude, knowing that our Lord watches over us. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

God Of Peace Will Be With You
In joy, rejoice, let hearts be light,
For in the Lord, our hopes take flight.
With grateful breath, lift up your praise,
In every moment, through all the days.
In gentle spirit, let love abound,
With kindness, let our actions resound.
With prayers that rise like morning sun,
And every worry, to Him we run.
Think on the good, the pure, the true,
In all that's lovely, in all that's new.
Whatever's just, whatever's right,
Let these thoughts guide our inner sight.
For peace, it guards both heart and mind,
In Christ alone, true rest we find.
With every thought and deed we bring,
In faith we stand and rise to sing.
So let us dwell in grace and light,
With hearts uplifted, shining bright.
In all we do, His love will show—
The beauty found in joy we sow. Amen.
