The Book of 2 Timothy 4 v-One thru Four

1 I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingly power: 2 proclaim the word; be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient; convince, reprimand, encourage through all patience and teaching. 3 For the time will come when people will not tolerate sound doctrine but, following their own desires and insatiable curiosity, will accumulate teachers 4 and will stop listening to the truth and will be diverted to myths. 5 But you, be self-possessed in all circumstances; put up with hardship; perform the work of an evangelist; fulfill your ministry.

Today the Church celebrates the Memorial of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. This is a significant feast day in the liturgical calendar of the Roman Catholic Church, celebrated annually on the Saturday following the Solemnity of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This memorial honors the profound love and maternal compassion of the Virgin Mary, symbolized by her immaculate heart. Devotion to the Immaculate Heart focuses on Mary's interior life, her joys and sorrows, and her virtues, especially her purity and love for God and humanity.

The faithful are encouraged to emulate Mary's heart by cultivating a deep love for Jesus and embracing the virtues she exemplified. The feast serves as a reminder of Mary's pivotal role in the Salvation history and her ongoing intercession for the Church and its members. Through prayer, reflection, and acts of devotion, believers seek to draw closer to Mary's heart, aspiring to develop a heart that mirrors her unwavering faith and boundless love.

As followers of Christ, we are called to be His witnesses and to actively participate in the mission of evangelization. This sacred duty involves sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ with others, guiding them towards a personal relationship with Him, and ultimately, leading souls to Salvation. To effectively fulfill this ministry, we must embody the love, compassion, and humility of Christ in our daily interactions, allowing His light to shine through us. Yesterday, we reached out to our waitress and asked if she would pray with us. She reached and grabbed our hands and we prayed wanting to emulate the evangelization we are called to live.

One powerful way to enhance our evangelistic efforts is by seeking the intercession of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Mary, in her profound obedience and unwavering faith, serves as a model for all Christians. Her Immaculate Heart, filled with purity and maternal love, is a source of grace and strength for those who seek her help. By entrusting our petitions to her, we can draw closer to Jesus and receive the spiritual support needed to carry out our mission.

We can begin by dedicating time each day to prayer, asking the Blessed Virgin Mary to intercede for us and for those we encounter. Praying the Rosary, in particular, is a powerful means of meditating on the life of Christ and seeking Mary's guidance. Additionally, we should strive to embody the virtues of Mary—such as humility, patience, and charity—in our evangelistic efforts.

By aligning ourselves with the Immaculate Heart of Mary, we open ourselves to the transformative power of God's grace. With her intercession, we can become more effective instruments of His love and mercy, bringing countless souls to the saving knowledge of Christ Jesus. Let us commit to this sacred mission with fervent prayer and a steadfast heart, trusting in the maternal care of the Blessed Virgin Mary to guide and support us every step of the way.

We offer this day in prayer for the Ordination of our friend Dr. Luis Rodriguez who is being ordained today as a Catholic Deacon for our faith community of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. May our Mother Mary cover you with her Mantle and protect you as you allow the Spirit so Holy to move you may God infinitely inspire you while Christ Himself feeds you each day in His Holy Mass. In Him we pray. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary**

In the garden of eternal grace,

Where lilies bloom in sacred space,

A heart immaculate and pure,

In Mary's love, we find our cure.

Oh, heart that beats with tender care,

A mother's love beyond compare,

With every throb, a song of peace,

From earthly woes, a sweet release.

In your embrace, the sinner's plea,

Finds solace, hope, and sanctity,

A beacon through the darkest night,

Your love, a guide to Heaven's light.

Immaculate Heart, so full of grace,

With virtues time shall not erase,

In sorrow's depth, your strength abides,

A fount of mercy, where love resides.

Oh, Heart aflame with divine fire,

Inspire in us a pure desire,

To love as you, with faith so true,

To see the world with eyes anew.

In trials, when our spirits tire,

With you, we find our hearts' desire,

To walk the path where Christ has led,

With you, our guide, our daily bread.

Immaculate Heart, in thee we trust,

In times of joy, and when we must

Face shadows cast by doubt and fear,

Your gentle beat, we hold so dear.

Oh, Mary, Mother, guide our way,

Immaculate Heart, to you we pray,

In life, in death, our hearts entwine,

In love eternal, pure, divine. Amen.
