The Letter to the Romans Chapter 5 Verse 1 thru 11

1 Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, 2 through whom we have gained access [by faith] to this grace in which we stand, and we boast in hope of the glory of God. 3 Not only that, but we even boast of our afflictions, knowing that affliction produces endurance, 4 and endurance, proven character, and proven character, hope, 5 and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out into our hearts through the holy Spirit that has been given to us.6 For Christ, while we were still helpless, yet died at the appointed time for the ungodly. 7 Indeed, only with difficulty does one die for a just person, though perhaps for a good person one might even find courage to die. 8 But God proves his love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us. 9 How much more then, since we are now justified by his blood, will we be saved through him from the wrath. 10 Indeed, if, while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, how much more, once reconciled, will we be saved by his life. 11 Not only that, but we also boast of God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

Romans 5:1-11 beautifully encapsulates the profound truth of our faith and the assurance we have in Christ. This passage begins by affirming that through faith, we are justified and have peace with God. This peace is not just a momentary relief but a lasting state of being that comes from our relationship with the Creator. It reassures us that despite our shortcomings and tribulations, we stand righteous before God.

In verses 3-5, Paul highlights that suffering is not in vain; rather, it produces perseverance, character, and ultimately, hope. This hope is a powerful force in our lives—it anchors our souls, reminding us that we are not alone in our struggles. The key is found in verse 5, where it states, "Hope does not disappoint." This is not a vague promise; it is a certainty rooted in the love of God, which has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit serves as God’s active presence within us, assuring us of His love and faithfulness. When we face trials, it is through the Holy Spirit that we experience God’s enduring love—a love that does not falter or fail. Each drop of this love fills us with hope that transcends our circumstances, reminding us that God's promises are true.

Verses 6-11 further articulate the depth of God's love, revealing that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. This act of sacrificial love demonstrates the lengths to which God goes to restore our relationship with Him. In embracing this truth, we can live confidently, knowing that the hope we possess is secure. Therefore, let us rejoice in this incredible gift of love and the steadfast hope it brings by Holy Spirit. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

03-08-2026 Romans 5 v0111

**While We Were Still Helpless**

In grace we find our tranquil place,

Where hope unfolds in a warm embrace,

Through faith, we rise, by love defined,

Justified by His hand, eternally kind.

No longer foes, in sorrow's shade,

We walk in light, no longer afraid,

In trials, we boast, for strength shall grow,

Through suffering’s path, His love we know.

The Holy Spirit, our guide and friend,

Pours love in hearts that never end,

With joy we stand, through dark and bright,

For in His arms, we find the light.

God’s love displayed, a gift so grand,

In Christ, we see the perfect plan,

While we were lost, in sin’s cruel thrall,

He gave His life, redeeming us all.

Rejoice, dear hearts, for peace will comply,

In every tear, He hears our cry,

From death to life, our hope renewed,

In Him, our souls are ever imbued.

So let us share this wondrous grace,

With every heart and every place,

For while we were weak, His love came near,

In Romans five, our path is clear. Amen.
