The Gospel of Matthew Chapter 13 Verse 10 thru 17
10 The disciples approached him and said, “Why do you speak to them in parables?” 11 He said to them in reply, “Because knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been granted to you, but to them it has not been granted. 12 To anyone who has, more will be given and he will grow rich; from anyone who has not, even what he has will be taken away. 13 This is why I speak to them in parables, because ‘they look but do not see and hear but do not listen or understand.’14 Isaiah’s prophecy is fulfilled in them, which says: ‘You shall indeed hear but not understand, you shall indeed look but never see. 15 Gross is the heart of this people, they will hardly hear with their ears, they have closed their eyes, lest they see with their eyes and hear with their ears and understand with their heart and be converted, and I heal them.’ 16 “But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears, because they hear. 17 Amen, I say to you, many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but did not see it, and to hear what you hear but did not hear it.
In Matthew 13:10-17, Jesus speaks to His disciples about the nature of the kingdom of heaven and the mysteries within it. When the disciples ask why He speaks in parables, Jesus responds by revealing that the knowledge of the kingdom has been granted to them, while others outside will not fully understand. This moment underscores the transformative power of faith and surrender to God's will.
For those who have embraced Jesus as their Lord and Savior, a profound gift awaits—the unveiling of divine mysteries. When we submit our lives to God, He opens our hearts to deeper truths, allowing us to see beyond the surface. The parables serve not merely as tales but as windows into the very nature of God’s reign, revealing insights that ordinary understanding can't grasp. This invitation to dive deeper into the mysteries of the kingdom is not just for the ancient disciples; it's for each of us who chooses to follow Christ today.
Jesus assures us that more will be given to those who are in this state of grace. In surrender, we become vessels ready to receive God's abundant wisdom and revelations. When we actively seek Him, we deepen our relationship and amplify our understanding of His ways. This continues to foster spiritual growth and an ever-closer connection to His truth.
Let us embrace the call to surrender and recognize that we are blessed to know the mysteries of His kingdom. As we navigate our spiritual journeys, may we continually seek to align our will with God's, drawing on the grace that unfolds when we call upon Jesus. In doing so, we are assured that more understanding and blessings will flow into our lives. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Gross Is The Heart Of This People**
In whispered tones, the questions rise,
Disciples seek with eager eyes,
“Why speak in parables, the truth concealed?
To them, the mysteries are revealed.”
To some, the secrets remain out of sight,
In shadows they wander, denied the light.
But blessed are those who earnestly seek,
For in quiet pursuit, the wise find the meek.
“Blessed are your eyes, for they see so clear,
And your ears, for they hear the words dear.
Many have longed for the visions you’ve known,
Yet here in your midst, the truth has been shown.”
For in every parable, a gentle call,
To awaken the heart, to rouse us all.
Lessons of wisdom, wrapped tight in the phrase,
In the light of His love, we learn to gaze.
So let us listen, let our hearts yearn,
For the treasure of grace, in stillness we turn.
In the dance of the Spirit, seek and you'll find,
The beauty of Truth, in the heart of the blind. Amen.
