The Gospel of Matthew Chapter 12 Verse 46 thru 50

46 While he was still speaking to the crowds, his mother and his brothers appeared outside, wishing to speak with him. 47 [Someone told him, “Your mother and your brothers are standing outside, asking to speak with you.”] 48 But he said in reply to the one who told him, “Who is my mother? Who are my brothers?” 49 And stretching out his hand toward his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. 50 For whoever does the will of my heavenly Father is my brother, and sister, and mother.”

In Matthew 12:46-50, we find a powerful teaching from Jesus about the nature of true family in the Kingdom of God. When His mother and brothers seek Him amidst a crowd, Jesus redefines family not by blood but by spiritual connection. He states, “Whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.” This passage reminds us that our relationship with God transcends earthly ties; it is rooted in obedience to His will.

To live out the Will of God, we must first seek to understand His Word. Engaging with Scripture daily helps us align our hearts and minds with His purpose. We are called to practice the teachings of Jesus—showing love, mercy, and justice in our everyday lives. It’s essential to cultivate habits that reflect our commitment, such as reading the Bible, serving others, and nurturing our communities.

Moreover, prayer is vital in this journey. We are encouraged to pray unceasingly, bringing our worries, desires, and praises to God. This constant communication not only strengthens our relationship with Him but also brings clarity and peace as we navigate life’s challenges. A prayerful life positions us to discern His will and act accordingly.

Lastly, we can proclaim our faith with confidence, empowered by the Holy Spirit. This boldness is not merely about speaking but living out our faith authentically. As we embody Christ’s love and truth, we attract others to His light for to become true brothers and sisters in Christ, we must commit to daily practice of God’s Word, pray without ceasing, and confidently proclaim our faith. In doing so, we will reflect the heart of God and embody His will in our lives. Amen.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Here Are My Mother And My Brother**

In the crowd, a voice arose,

Amidst the throng, a question posed,

“Who stands with you, Lord, in this throng?

Your mother, brothers, seek where you belong.”

With wisdom shining, love profound,

Jesus turned, His gaze unbound,

“Who is my mother? Who are my kin?

For here are my brothers, let love begin.”

He stretched His arms to the hearts that seek,

Not just by blood, but the spirit meek.

“Whoever does the Father's will,

Who completes their hearts My family shall fill.”

In sacred bonds, the truth we find,

That love transcends the ties that bind.

For in the act of love and grace,

We all become a sacred space. Amen.
