The Gospel of Luke Chapter 11 Verse 27 thru 28
27 While he was speaking, a woman from the crowd called out and said to Jesus, “Blessed is the womb that carried you and the breasts at which you nursed.” 28 He replied, “Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.”
In Luke 11:27-28, we encounter an emotional moment where a woman from the crowd exclaims, “Blessed is the womb that bore you, and the breasts at which you nursed!” Jesus, however, redirects the focus, replying, “Blessed rather are those who hear the Word of God and keep it.” This exchange serves as a powerful reminder of the deeper calling we have as followers of Christ.
To hear the Word of God is more than a passive act; it requires our active engagement. It beckons us to absorb His teachings, allowing them to penetrate our hearts and transform our lives. But the call doesn’t end with mere hearing. Jesus emphasizes the importance of observing—practicing the principles found within Scripture. Each day presents us with opportunities to integrate God’s Word into our lives, whether through acts of kindness, extending forgiveness, or promoting justice and love in our communities.
Moreover, we are encouraged to pray unceasingly. This means inviting God into every aspect of our lives, treating each moment as an opportunity to connect with Him. Through prayer, we nurture our relationship with the Divine, seeking guidance and strength to fulfill our commitments to His calling.
Finally, proclaiming the Gospel is not solely about verbal testimony; it is about living out the joy of Salvation authentically. Our lives should resonate with hope and love, reflecting the transformative power of Christ’s grace. As we embody His teachings, we become living examples of His love and truth, drawing others to Him through our actions. In embracing these challenges, we fulfill the calling to be not only hearers but doers of God's Word, sharing the joy of Salvation in all we undertake. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. Novena Day Seven for Mike Carter. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Observe God’s Word Blessed Are You
In the crowd, a voice did rise,
A woman spoke with heartfelt sighs,
"Blessed the womb that bore you, so fair,"
Your mother's breast who fed You beyond compare.
Yet in the moment, with wisdom profound,
Jesus turned to her, His voice a gentle sound,
"More blessed are those who hear and obey,
The Word of God, that lights the way."
With every heart that seeks to learn,
In faith's embrace, our spirits burn,
For blessings bloom from the truth we find,
In listening close, we open our mind.
So let us cherish each word divine,
In Christ's teachings, our souls entwine,
A call to action, to love and to serve,
In the path of righteousness, we find our nerve.
For it's not just blood that binds us tight,
But the love of His message, our guiding light,
So let us strive, in every endeavor,
To hear His word, now and forever. Amen.
