The Gospel of Luke Ch 11 Verse 27 thru 28

27 While he was speaking, a woman from the crowd called out and said to him, “Blessed is the womb that carried you and the breasts at which you nursed.” 28 He replied, “Rather, blessed are those who hear the word of God and observe it.”

In Luke 11:27-28, we encounter a profound moment where a woman from the crowd raises her voice, declaring, “Blessed is the womb that bore you and the breasts at which you nursed!” Jesus responds to her with a powerful reminder: “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.” This exchange invites us to reflect on what true blessing means in our lives, emphasizing that it goes beyond mere physical lineage or earthly connections.

To be blessed, according to Jesus, is to engage deeply with the Word of God. We often seek blessings in various forms—wealth, health, family—but here, Jesus reminds us that the essence of being blessed lies in our relationship with Scripture. It challenges us to examine how we receive and respond to His teachings. Hearing the Word is the first step, but the transformative power of blessings comes when we take that Word to heart and put it into action in our daily lives.

This call to obedience is not about following a rigid set of rules but about nurturing a genuine responsiveness to God's messages. It is an invitation to integrate His teachings into our thoughts, actions, and decisions, thereby allowing His wisdom to guide us.

As we strive to observe the Word, let us approach it with open hearts and minds, seeking to understand and live out its truths. In doing so, we not only enhance our spiritual lives but also become conduits of blessing to those around us. Remember, it's in the hearing and obeying that we find the deepest fulfillment and joy. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. Novena Prayers Day Six for Kelly Zorros Diefendorf. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

Blessed Hear The Word Of God And Observe It

In the crowd, a voice arose,

A woman spoke, her heart exposed,

“Blessed the womb that bore you dear,”

In her words, both pride and fear.

But Christ replied with wisdom clear,

“More blessed are those who observantly hear,

The Word of God and keep it near,

In faith and love, let hope be what you peer.”

So let us turn our hearts to seek,

In every word, to find the meek,

In doing good, let love abound,

In every soul, His grace be found.

For blessings bloom when faith takes root,

In hearts awakened, His love commute,

So lift your voice, let praise ascend,

In hearing His Word, our lives transcend. Amen.
