The Gospel of Luke Chapter 11 Verse 14 thru 26

14 He was driving out a demon [that was] mute, and when the demon had gone out, the mute person spoke and the crowds were amazed. 15 Some of them said, “By the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons, he drives out demons.” 16 Others, to test him, asked him for a sign from heaven. 17 But he knew their thoughts and said to them, “Every kingdom divided against itself will be laid waste and house will fall against house. 18 And if Satan is divided against himself, how will his kingdom stand? For you say that it is by Beelzebul that I drive out demons. 19 If I, then, drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your own people drive them out? Therefore they will be your judges. 20 But if it is by the finger of God that [I] drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. 21 When a strong man fully armed guards his palace, his possessions are safe. 22 But when one stronger than he attacks and overcomes him, he takes away the armor on which he relied and distributes the spoils. 23 Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters. 24 “When an unclean spirit goes out of someone, it roams through arid regions searching for rest but, finding none, it says, ‘I shall return to my home from which I came.’ 25 But upon returning, it finds it swept clean and put in order. 26 Then it goes and brings back seven other spirits more wicked than itself who move in and dwell there, and the last condition of that person is worse than the first.”

In Luke 11:14-26, we encounter a powerful narrative that reveals the authority and mission of Jesus amidst escalating tensions. Jesus performs an exorcism, casting out a demon that had rendered a man mute. The miracle astonishes the crowd, yet it also provokes skepticism. Some accuse Him of operating under the power of Beelzebul, the prince of demons. In response, Jesus explains the nature of His authority by asserting that a kingdom divided against itself cannot stand. He highlights the absurdity of Satan expelling his own demons and emphasizes that His ability to cast out demons is, in fact, a demonstration of God’s kingdom breaking into the world.

This passage serves as a heartbreaking reminder of the implications of aligning oneself with or against Christ. Jesus warns that those who reject Him, who do not gather with Him, will find themselves in a dangerous position. The imagery He employs—that of an unclean spirit returning to a cleansed individual, only to bring back even more spirits—reinforces the grave consequence of turning away from the grace of God. It illustrates that mere moral reform, without a genuine relationship with Christ, leaves one vulnerable to spiritual ruin.

As believers, we must reflect on where we stand. Are we for Christ, actively gathering in His grace, or are we passively allowing doubts and distractions to draw us away? Scripture warns of the dire outcomes for those who choose to remain outside the fold of Christ. Embracing His grace is not merely an option; it’s a necessity for salvation. For those who choose not to walk with Him, the path leads to inevitable damnation. Therefore, let us unite in faith, stand firm in Christ, and share His grace with the world. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. Day seven Novena prayers of Kayley. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

10-10-2025 Luke 11 v1426

**Whoever Does Not Gather with Me Scatters**

In the town where shadows stirred,

A mute man’s voice was never heard,

From darkness came a whispered plea,

Then Christ approached and set him free.

With power bold, He turned to shame,

The voices scoffed, and called His name,

“By demons’ lord, you work your art!”

But Jesus knew the truth in their hearts.

“A house divided cannot stand,

Satan's realm will not command,

In casting out, God’s kingdom nears,

A victory that calms our eternal fears.”

The crowd was hushed, their doubts in tow,

Yet some held tight to what they’d known,

For blind eyes struggle to see the light,

And hearts ensnared refuse the fight.

“Beware,” He warned, “of spirits gone,

Return unclean, to whom they’re drawn,

For void of faith, the heart's a shell,

And deeper darkness binds you well.”

Embrace my grace, I call to thee,

Join the fold, find unity,

For in my love you’ll stand secure,

And in my truth, your souls endure.

So gather close, ye weary souls,

In Christ alone, our hope extols,

For those who wander, lost in plight,

Shall find their way to Kingdom’s light. Amen.
