The Gospel of Luke Chapter 8 Verse 11 thru 15

11 “This is the meaning of the parable. The seed is the word of God. 12 Those on the path are the ones who have heard, but the devil comes and takes away the word from their hearts that they may not believe and be saved. 13 Those on rocky ground are the ones who, when they hear, receive the word with joy, but they have no root; they believe only for a time and fall away in time of trial. 14 As for the seed that fell among thorns, they are the ones who have heard, but as they go along, they are choked by the anxieties and riches and pleasures of life, and they fail to produce mature fruit. 15 But as for the seed that fell on rich soil, they are the ones who, when they have heard the word, embrace it with a generous and good heart, and bear fruit through perseverance.”

In Luke 8:11-15, Jesus shares the Parable of the Sower, which resonates profoundly with all who hear the Word of God, especially you, my dear listeners. He likens the Word to seed that is sown on different types of soil, representing the hearts of those who encounter it. The seed falling on good soil—those who hear the Word, accept it, and embrace it with a generous and good heart—produces an abundant harvest.

Now that you have engaged with my daily Godcast and have heard the profound truths of Scripture, it is essential to reflect on how you receive this message. Let your heart be like the fertile soil, ready to accept God’s Word wholeheartedly. This means allowing it to penetrate deep into your being, nurturing it with prayer and reflection. Just as a gardener tends to plants, you must tend to your faith, ensuring that it flourishes.

Embracing the Word with a generous heart calls us to action. It is not enough to merely hear; we must strive to live out the teachings we receive. This perseverance will lead to bearing fruit—qualities such as love, patience, kindness, and faithfulness will spring forth from your life, positively impacting those around you.

Remember, growth takes time and dedication. Challenges may arise, but with a steadfast spirit grounded in the Word of God, you can overcome obstacles and remain fruitful. Let your life be a testament to the transformative power of God's message. Embrace it, cultivate it, and watch as you bear fruit through your perseverance, bringing glory to His name. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. **Bear Fruit Through Perseverance**

In fields where whispers softly tread,

A sower scattered seeds, it’s said,

Upon the soil, both rich and bare,

Each grain a promise, nurtured care.

The path was hard, the birds took flight,

With hungry beaks, devoured the light,

The Word of God, like seeds in flight,

But hearts were closed, in shadowed night.

Among the stones, the roots would strain,

Quick joys would bloom, yet wither in pain,

For trials came, and hopes grew thin,

What once was faith, might fade within.

Yet in the thorns, distractions bloom,

The cares of life, like shadows loom,

Choking the truth, the light confined,

A heart once willing, now entwined.

But oh, the good soil, rich and deep,

Where faith takes root, and promises keep,

With patience nurtured through the rain,

A harvest flows, in joy, not pain.

A hundredfold, the fruit displayed,

In loving hearts, the Word obeyed,

So let the seeds, in us, take hold,

And shine the truth, in stories told. Amen.
