The Book of Psalms Chapter 111 v- One thru Five
1 Hallelujah! I will praise the LORD with all my heart in the assembled congregation of the upright. 2 Great are the works of the LORD, studied by all who delight in them. 3 Majestic and glorious is his work, his righteousness endures forever. 4 He won renown for his wondrous deeds; gracious and merciful is the LORD. 5 He gives food to those who fear him, he remembers his covenant forever.
Psalm 111 is a powerful hymn of praise that extols the greatness of God and His wondrous works. The first five verses encapsulate the essence of worship and the attributes of God that inspire reverence and awe.
In verse 1, the psalmist declares a commitment to praise the Lord with their whole heart, emphasizing the importance of sincere worship. This heartfelt devotion is directed both in the assembly of the upright and in the congregation, highlighting the communal aspect of faith. Worship is not just a private affair but a collective experience that strengthens the community of believers.
Verses 2 and 3 reflect on the greatness of God’s works. The psalmist encourages contemplation of the marvelous deeds of the Lord, which are both powerful and full of majesty. This invitation to remember God's actions serves to remind the faithful of His enduring faithfulness and sovereignty. The beauty and splendor of God's creations and interventions in the world evoke a sense of wonder and reverence.
Verse 4 shifts focus to God's character, declaring that He is gracious and compassionate. These attributes are central to understanding God's relationship with humanity. His grace offers forgiveness, while His compassion assures us of His care and concern for our well-being.
In verse 5, the psalmist highlights God's provision for those who fear Him, reinforcing the idea that reverence for God leads to blessings and sustenance. This verse encapsulates the theme of divine generosity and the trustworthiness of God in meeting the needs of His people. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

10-03-2024 Psalm 111 V-0105
**Lord is Merciful and Gracious**
With all my heart, I lift His name,
In joyful song, His love proclaim,
Among the faithful, gathered near,
In unity, we sing, sincere.
His works are great, a wondrous sight,
In every dawn, His grace ignites,
Majestic deeds, both bold and bright,
In awe we stand, bathed in His light.
With wisdom deep, His glory shows,
In every heart, His kindness grows,
He weaves His mercy through the night,
Compassion flows, a boundless light.
He feeds the souls who seek His face,
In every trial, He grants us grace,
For those who fear, His hand provides,
In love and strength, our hope abides.
So let us lift our voices high,
In gratitude, our spirits fly,
For every blessing, great and small,
We praise the Lord, who reigns over all. Amen.
