The 2nd Letter of Timothy Chapter 3 Verse 10 thru 17

10 You have followed my teaching, way of life, purpose, faith, patience, love, endurance, 11 persecutions, and sufferings, such as happened to me in Antioch, Iconium, and Lystra, persecutions that I endured. Yet from all these things the Lord delivered me. 12 In fact, all who want to live religiously in Christ Jesus will be persecuted. 13 But wicked people and charlatans will go from bad to worse, deceivers and deceived. 14 But you, remain faithful to what you have learned and believed, because you know from whom you learned it, 15 and that from infancy you have known [the] sacred scriptures, which are capable of giving you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.16 All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, for refutation, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 so that one who belongs to God may be competent, equipped for every good work.

In 2 Timothy 3:10-17, the Apostle Paul underscores the importance of Scripture in the life of a believer. He speaks to Timothy, reminding him of the profound impact of his own life and teaching, highlighting how faithful endurance in the face of persecution serves as a testament to God’s power in one’s life. These verses remind us that engaging with God’s Word equips us for every good work. It serves multiple crucial roles: it is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. This multifaceted purpose highlights the importance of not merely reading Scripture but allowing it to transform how we live and interact with the world around us.

Here at Universal Utterings, Scripture is our daily practice of immersing ourselves in the Word and is a powerful reminder of God’s grace and guidance each and every day of our lives. Each morning, as we reflect on these sacred passages, we are inspired to grow in our faith. We learn to exercise discernment in our actions and thoughts, aligning them with God's truth. This process is not just about personal growth; it’s about equipping ourselves to serve others and spread His love effectively.

Ultimately, as Paul stresses, the goal is to be thoroughly equipped for every good work. This is our calling as followers of Christ. By embracing the teachings of 2 Timothy 3:10-17, we find encouragement and strength to live out our faith daily. Together, let us commit to this practice, prayer and proclamation allowing God’s Word to shape us and lead us into a life filled with purpose and good works. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Wisdom for Salvation Through Faith in Christ Jesus**

In days of peril, shadows loom,

Yet steadfast light can pierce the gloom;

For Paul instructs, through trials we tread,

In faith and truth, let hearts be fed.

Timothy, dear, you've known my way,

My teaching, life, through night and day;

In patience, love, the Spirit’s grace,

You've learned to stand, to run the race.

Persecutions, they're part of the call,

Yet God's lived word will never fall;

From scriptures rich, all wisdom flows,

In every heart, true wisdom grows.

For Scripture's breath, both pure and whole,

Equips, prepares, and mends the soul;

In righteousness, it leads us right,

Guiding our steps, a beacon's light.

So treasure what you've learned and known,

For in His truth, our hope is sown;

Through every trial, His Word will stand,

Our wisdom forged by His strong Divine hand. Amen.
