The Book of Psalms Chapter 145 Verse 1 thru 21
1 Praise. Of David. I will extol you, my God and king; I will bless your name forever and ever. 2 Every day I will bless you; I will praise your name forever and ever. 3 Great is the LORD and worthy of much praise, whose grandeur is beyond understanding. 4 One generation praises your deeds to the next and proclaims your mighty works. 5 They speak of the splendor of your majestic glory, tell of your wonderful deeds. 6 They speak of the power of your awesome acts and recount your great deeds. 7 They celebrate your abounding goodness and joyfully sing of your justice. 8 The LORD is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in mercy. 9 The LORD is good to all, compassionate toward all your works. 10 All your works give you thanks, LORD and your faithful bless you. 11 They speak of the glory of your reign and tell of your mighty works, 12 Making known to the sons of men your mighty acts, the majestic glory of your rule. 13 Your reign is a reign for all ages, your dominion for all generations. The LORD is trustworthy in all his words, and loving in all his works. 14 The LORD supports all who are falling and raises up all who are bowed down. 15 The eyes of all look hopefully to you; you give them their food in due season. 16 You open wide your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. 17 The LORD is just in all his ways, merciful in all his works. 18 The LORD is near to all who call upon him, to all who call upon him in truth. 19 He fulfills the desire of those who fear him; he hears their cry and saves them. 20 The LORD watches over all who love him, but all the wicked he destroys. 21 My mouth will speak the praises of the LORD; all flesh will bless his holy name forever and ever.
Psalm 145 is a beautiful declaration of praise, emphasizing the greatness and goodness of God. In verses 1-21, the psalmist, identified as David, invites all of humanity to extol the Lord's name and to reflect on His majestic attributes. The opening verses express a heartfelt commitment to worship: “I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.” This establishes a profound relationship between the Creator and His creation, highlighting a continuous cycle of reverence and acknowledgment of God's sovereignty.
As the Psalm unfolds, it reveals several key characteristics of God—His greatness, mercy, and faithfulness. The psalmist encourages each generation to share His wondrous works and mighty deeds. This collective remembrance serves not only to strengthen faith but also to enlighten future generations about God's enduring love and goodness. The invocation to bless God’s name forever signifies an eternal commitment, beyond our earthly existence, indicating a future where all creation recognizes His glory.
Amid life’s challenges and uncertainties, these verses remind us that God is our refuge and sustainer, empowering us to face difficulties with hope. Psalm 145 culminates in a profound anticipation of a time when all humanity will universally bless the Lord. This prophetic vision encourages us that despite the trials of today, there is a certainty of redemption and an eternal relationship with the Creator.
As we meditate on these verses, let us carry the essence of this psalm into our lives, praising God not just in words but through our actions, sharing His love with others. Ultimately, we can trust that one day, every tongue will confess, and every heart will proclaim—the majesty of the Lord, blessing His name forever and ever. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

10-18-2025 Psalm 145 v0121
**Tell of Your Mighty Works**
O Lord, my heart shall endless praise proclaim,
With every breath, I lift Your holy name.
From dawn's first light, until the evening's call,
Your greatness echoes, resonating through all.
Each generation sings of Your renown,
A tapestry of love in crimson and brown.
Your wondrous works, in every tale retold,
Paint a portrait of mercy, gentle yet bold.
The world declares Your mighty hand, so grand,
Through storms and whispers, You forever stand.
The stars above, the mountains standing tall,
All testify to the One who loves us all.
Your kingdom reigns with justice and with grace,
Compassion flows like rivers, heart’s warm embrace.
You lift the weary, you mend the broken,
In whispered prayers, Your promises are spoken.
For all who seek You, You’re close at hand,
A refuge found in the strength of Your stand.
Though trials come like shadows in the night,
Your light will guide us, dispelling the fright.
Great is the Lord, and worthy of our song,
The depths of love, where all our hearts belong.
With every fiber, my soul rejoices in,
The grace that flows anew, where life begins.
Forever I’ll extol Your name in praise,
From age to age, I’ll sing of Your ways.
Your faithfulness, a lighthouse in the storm,
In every heartbeat, Lord, my spirit’s warm. Amen.
