The Gospel of John Ch 3 Verse 11 thru 21

11 Amen, amen, I say to you, we speak of what we know and we testify to what we have seen, but you people do not accept our testimony. 12 If I tell you about earthly things and you do not believe, how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things? 13 No one has gone up to heaven except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man. 14 And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert, so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.” 16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him. 18 Whoever believes in him will not be condemned, but whoever does not believe has already been condemned, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God. 19 And this is the verdict, that the light came into the world, but people preferred darkness to light, because their works were evil. 20 For everyone who does wicked things hates the light and does not come toward the light, so that his works might not be exposed. 21 But whoever lives the truth comes to the light, so that his works may be clearly seen as done in God.

In John 3:11-21, we find a profound dialogue that emphasizes the essence of belief, light, and righteousness. Jesus speaks to Nicodemus, revealing deeper truths about spiritual rebirth and the path to salvation. Central to this passage is the assertion that belief in the Son of God—Jesus Himself—is fundamental for eternal life. This belief is not merely an intellectual acknowledgment but a transformative acceptance that compels one to live in alignment with God’s will.

Verses 19-21 emotionally contrast light and darkness, illustrating how individuals respond to the presence of Christ. The "light" that Jesus brings signifies truth and purity, illuminating the path of righteousness. However, many choose to remain in darkness, preferring their evil deeds over the illuminating truth. This choice acts as a barrier to experiencing the fullness of God's love and grace.

To believe in the name of the only Son of God is indeed to walk in the light. It is a call to embrace righteousness, to live in a manner that reflects the values of the Kingdom of God. Those who walk in the light do so not out of a rigid sense of obligation, but from a joyful response to the love they have received. They become beacons of hope and integrity, drawing others toward the light of Christ.

As we reflect on these verses, let us make a conscious choice to believe deeply in Jesus, to cast aside the allure of darkness, and to actively pursue goodness and truth. In doing so, we not only affirm our faith but participate in the unfolding story of redemption that He offers. May we shine brightly in a world eager for light, living out the righteousness that flows from our belief in Him. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. For the repose of the soul of Mike Carter. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Whoever Does Not Believe Has Already Been Condemned

In solemn tones, the truth descends, 

A tale of light that never ends. 

"Truly, I say," the Savior speaks, 

Of mysteries deep our heart eternally seeks. 

“I come to share what I have seen, 

From heaven’s heights, a vision keen. 

Yet many tread in shadows cast, 

Blind to the light, too lost in the past.” 

In this world’s darkness, hope takes flight, 

For God so loved, He sent the Light. 

Not to condemn, but to embrace, 

To wash away sins every trace. 

The Son was sent, the gift so true, 

That we might live, made whole anew. 

Yet hearts may harden, eyes may close, 

To refuse the love, that freely grows. 

For those who come to seek the grace, 

In truth they find their rightful place. 

The light reveals what hearts conceal, 

Bringing forth wounds, to mend and heal. 

But woe to those who choose the night, 

Reject the dawn, forsake the Light. 

For in their fear, they hide away, 

From love that beckons, day by day. 

So lift your gaze, let shadows part, 

Embrace the truth within your heart. 

For in His name, we find our way, 

To everlasting life, come what may. Amen.
