The Letter to the Ephesians Chapter 1 V- 18 and 23
18 May the eyes of [your] hearts be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that belongs to his call, what are the riches of glory in his inheritance among the holy ones, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of his power for us who believe, in accord with the exercise of his great might, 20 which he worked in Christ, raising him from the dead and seating him at his right hand in the heavens, 21 far above every principality, authority, power, and dominion, and every name that is named not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And he put all things beneath his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way.
In Ephesians 1:18-23, the Apostle Paul offers a profound prayer that speaks to the heart of our Christian faith. He emphasizes the importance of spiritual enlightenment, urging believers to understand the "hope of His calling," the "riches of the glory of His inheritance," and the "exceeding greatness of His power" toward those who believe. This passage encapsulates the transformative experience that occurs when we surrender our lives fully to Christ as our one and only Savior.
When Paul speaks of enlightenment, he is referring to a divine illumination that transcends human understanding. This is a blessing that God promises to those who turn away from their own efforts and shortcomings, embracing Christ's grace and redemption. The enlightenment he describes is not merely intellectual knowledge but a deep, spiritual insight into the nature of God's love, purpose, and power. It reveals our identity as beloved children of God, destined to live in the light of His glory.
The richness of this revelation comes with surrender. When we let go of our self-reliance and place our trust completely in Christ, we become recipients of this wondrous enlightenment. We gain access to a hope that anchors our souls, an inheritance that assures us of our future, and an awareness of the immeasurable greatness of His power that works within us.
Furthermore, Paul reminds us of the supremacy of Christ in all things — the head of the church, to whom God has subjected all power and authority. This reassures us that, through our relationship with Him, we are connected to the ultimate source of strength and purpose. Embrace this truth, and may you walk in the light of His promise, fully surrendered to the magnificent love of Christ. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Far Above Every Principality**
In hearts awakened, may we see,
The hope of His calling, set us free.
A treasure rich, with glory bright,
In Christ, our Savior, we find our light.
The Spirit’s wisdom opens wide,
Revealing truths where love abides.
Each soul embraced, by grace anew,
In Him we stand, as faithful and true.
The power that raised our Lord on high,
Now dwells within, our spirits fly.
Exceeding greatness, His strength we share,
In every struggle, He’s always there.
Under His feet, all things align,
Authority given, His purpose divine.
In the church, His body shines,
As we grow together in love’s designs.
So surrender fully, trust and believe,
In Christ’s embrace, we shall receive.
The blessing of light, our hearts will know,
In Him alone, we rise and grow. Amen.
