The Gospel of Matthew 7 Verses 15 thru 20
15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but underneath are ravenous wolves. 16 By their fruits you will know them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles? 17 Just so, every good tree bears good fruit, and a rotten tree bears bad fruit.18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a rotten tree bear good fruit. 19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit will be cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So by their fruits you will know them.”
In Matthew 7:15-20, Jesus warns us to be wary of false prophets who appear outwardly righteous but are inwardly corrupt. He emphasizes that we can recognize them by their fruits. This metaphor of “fruits” extends beyond just actions; it encompasses the entirety of one's life, including our thoughts, intentions, and efforts. The fruit we bear reflects our priorities and what we genuinely value.
To live a life that puts God first, it requires deliberate choices and actions that align with His will. It is not enough to profess faith verbally; true discipleship requires us to embody that faith in every aspect of our lives. Our “fruits” are a manifestation of our commitment to prioritizing God above all else. This means making choices that glorify Him, serving others with love, and cultivating a heart that seeks to reflect Christ’s character in our daily interactions.
God cannot be a second choice, as this diminishes the profound relationship He desires with us. When we choose to make Him our first choice, we live as redeemed individuals, transformed by grace. Our efforts to put Him first in everything we do become the true fruits of our lives, revealing authentic faith.
Ultimately, living “Redeemed” means actively seeking God’s guidance in all decisions, nurturing a spirit of worship and service, and allowing our lives to be a testament to His goodness. As we bear good fruits, we fulfill the calling to be ambassadors of Christ, leading others to Him through our example of faithfulness as Disciples of Fruits of the Spirit. Let us strive to ensure that our lives resonate with the essence of God-first living, producing fruits that testify to our commitment and love for Him. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**By Their Fruits You Will Know Them**
In robes of light, they come to sway,
With honeyed words that lead them astray;
Yet in their heart, deception grows,
For fruits reveal what true life shows.
With every deed and every choice,
The whispers of the Spirit’s voice,
To bear good fruit, we must abide,
In love and truth, with God as our Guide.
A tree well-rooted thrives and stands,
In faithfulness, it stretches its hands;
From hearts that yield to heaven's grace,
Good fruits will flourish, fill the space.
So choose the path, let Christ be first,
In Savior's love, our souls immersed;
For in our lives, let wisdom ring,
By fruits we bear, His truth we bring. Amen.
