1 John 2 V- 12 through 17
12 I am writing to you, children, because your sins have been forgiven for his name’s sake. 13 I am writing to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I am writing to you, young men, because you have conquered the evil one. 14 I write to you, children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong and the word of God remains in you, and you have conquered the evil one. 15 Do not love the world or the things of the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16 For all that is in the world, sensual lust, enticement for the eyes, and a pretentious life, is not from the Father but is from the world. 17 Yet the world and its enticement are passing away. But whoever does the will of God remains forever.
In 1 John 2:12-17, the Apostle John addresses believers with a profound message about the joy of salvation and the dangers of worldly desires. He emphasizes the importance of knowing God, highlighting that true strength comes from a relationship with Christ and His Holy Father in Heaven. A strong father embodies this truth, guiding his children to understand that the ways of the world—filled with greed, lust, and pride—are toxic and ultimately lead to spiritual death. Instead, he teaches them the value of kindness, gentleness, and forgiveness, which are essential for experiencing true peace in every aspect of life.
The joy of salvation is not just an abstract concept; it is a transformative experience that shapes our interactions with others. By modeling love and respect at home, a father creates an environment where his children learn to be kind to their mother, supportive of their siblings, and respectful towards him. This foundation fosters strong relationships built on mutual respect and understanding.
As John reminds us, the world and its desires are fleeting, but those who do the will of God will endure forever. By engaging in acts of kindness and forgiveness, we conquer the negativity and despair that the world often brings. It is through these actions that we reflect the love of Christ, which is the true essence of life.
In a world that can seem overwhelming, let us remember that the greatest victories come not from worldly success but from embodying the values of love and respect in our families. By practicing kindness and honoring our parents and siblings, we not only enrich our own lives but also shine as lights in the world. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Whoever Does the Will of God Remains Forever**
To all the young and all the bold,
A message sweet, a truth to hold,
Your sins are washed, your hearts made new,
In Christ, dear children, He loves you true.
Fathers strong, with gentle hands,
Teach of salvation, where joy expands,
Guide your kids through paths of grace,
Show them love in every space.
The world, it beckons with glittering lies,
With fleeting joys that fade and die,
But kindness blooms where love is sown,
In gentle hearts, true peace is grown.
Desires of flesh may entice the soul,
Yet in God’s embrace, we find our whole,
Forgiveness flows like a river wide,
In Christ’s own heart, we can abide.
So be kind to mothers, brothers, and friends,
In respect and love, our journey transcends,
For conquering life is not a fierce fight,
But a dance of grace in His glorious light.
Hold fast to truth, let your spirits soar,
For the world will pass, but His love endures more,
In every act, let His spirit shine,
For in His love, your hearts entwine. Amen.
