The 1st Letter to the Corinthians Ch 15 Verse 1 thru 11
1 Now I am reminding you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you indeed received and in which you also stand. 2 Through it you are also being saved, if you hold fast to the word I preached to you, unless you believed in vain. 3 For I handed on to you as of first importance what I also received: that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures; 4 that he was buried; that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures; 5 that he appeared to Cephas, then to the Twelve. 6 After that, he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at once, most of whom are still living, though some have fallen asleep. 7 After that he appeared to James, then to all the apostles. 8 Last of all, as to one born abnormally, he appeared to me. 9 For I am the least of the apostles, not fit to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. 10 But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me has not been ineffective. Indeed, I have toiled harder than all of them; not I, however, but the grace of God [that is] with me. 11 Therefore, whether it be I or they, so we preach and so you believed.
In 1 Corinthians 15:1-11, the Apostle Paul emphasizes the cornerstone of the Christian faith: the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He begins by reminding the believers in Corinth of the gospel he preached to them, urging them to hold fast to its fundamental truths. “Christ died for our sins in accordance with the Scriptures,” he asserts, anchoring the significance of Jesus’ sacrifice in the prophetic messages of the Old Testament. His death was not accidental but a divine plan fulfilled through centuries of prophecy, demonstrating God’s unwavering commitment to redeem humanity.
Paul further emphasizes that Jesus was buried and that on the third day, he rose again, again “in accordance with the Scriptures.” This resurrection is not just a miraculous event; it is the very foundation of our hope as followers of Christ. The risen Savior appeared to many witnesses—Peter, the twelve disciples, and even more than five hundred at one time—providing undeniable evidence of His victory over death. Their testimonies challenge us to consider the profound implications of this truth; how can we not believe in a Lord who overcame the grave and promised the same for us?
As we reflect on these verses, let us hold fast to the word of God that has been preached to us. In a world filled with uncertainties and distractions, we must cling to the gospel message that defines our faith. The hope of the resurrection assures us that our sins are forgiven and that we are offered new life. So let us proclaim this truth boldly and live in the light of His resurrection—because indeed, Christ is risen! Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

So We Preach And So You Believed
In Corinth's heart, a letter penned,
By Paul, to guide, to teach, to mend,
He spoke of faith and grace’s embrace,
Of Christ’s great love and saving grace.
"Brothers," he writes with fervent plea,
"Remember the gospel I shared with thee,
The good news that changes both heart and mind,
In it, the truth of our hope you'll find.
That Christ was buried, then rose on day three,
The scriptures foretold; oh, take belief in He!
Jesus conquered the grave, shattered death’s fierce hold,
A promise of eternal life, in His arms we behold.
Five hundred witnesses, the risen Lord,
Their testimonies shared, the truth they scored,
From Peter to Paul, the faithful proclaim,
In weakness and struggle, they carry His name.
"I’m the least of His heralds," Paul humbly confessed,
Yet grace found him there, and life's battle pressed,
For by grace, through faith, we are called to stand,
With hope everlasting, held firm in His hand.
So let this truth anchor your soul in the storm,
In Christ, through His death, our lives are reborn,
For followers of Jesus, death has no claim,
In His name, we shall rise, forever the same. Amen.
