The Book of Sirach Ch 24 v- 19 thru 20
19 Come to me, all who desire me, and be filled with my fruits. 20 You will remember me as sweeter than honey, better to have than the honeycomb. 21 Those who eat of me will hunger still, those who drink of me will thirst for more.
In the vast expanse of the universe, there lies a never-ending search for truth and wisdom. It is a quest that has captivated the minds of philosophers, theologians, and seekers of all walks of life for centuries. The desire for knowledge and understanding is a primal urge that drives us to seek out the deeper meaning of our existence and the mysteries of the world around us.
For me, this search for wisdom and truth came after I hit rock bottom where I got tired of running from shame and opened my past for a chance to forgive myself and overcome the desire of death by excess. Once I surrendered to a life of Christ, I was drawn to the pursuit of knowledge, always hungry for more information and eager to uncover the secrets of Salvation. I devoured books on philosophy, science, and religion, seeking to understand the interconnectedness of all things and the underlying principles that govern our existence.
As I delved deeper into my quest for wisdom, I began to realize that true understanding cannot be found in books alone. It is a journey of the mind, body, and spirit, a quest for enlightenment that requires a willingness to explore the depths of one's own soul and confront the shadows that lie within. The path to wisdom is not an easy one. It is fraught with challenges and obstacles, with doubts and uncertainties that can shake even the most steadfast of believers. But it is a path worth treading, for in the pursuit of wisdom, we find Salvation. We find Redemption. We find Eternal Life.
Salvation, in the context of wisdom, is not a destination but a state of being. It is the realization that true enlightenment comes not from the accumulation of knowledge or desires of the flesh, but from the application of that knowledge in the pursuit of a greater good. It is the understanding that wisdom is not a static concept, but a living, breathing force that must be nurtured and cultivated in order to thrive.
Those who drink from the well of wisdom will find themselves thirsting for more, their minds expanding and their hearts opening to new possibilities. They will see the world in a different light, with a clarity and understanding that transcends the limitations of ordinary perception. They will be able to navigate the complexities of life with grace and ease, finding solutions where others see only problems.
But even as they drink from the well of wisdom, they will find themselves hungering still. For wisdom is a vast and boundless ocean, with depths that are unfathomable and mysteries that are endless. There is always more to learn, more to discover, more to explore in charity as the never-ending quest for truth. And so, the search for wisdom continues, a never-ending journey of discovery and growth. It is a journey that requires love, faith and hope of His mercy where courage, determination, and fortitude come from the Truth we walk each day by helping another find their way to what Life Eternal really means the wisdom of certainty the wisdom of love the wisdom of Christ. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.
