The Book of Sirach Ch 13 v- Six thru Seven

6 When they need you they will deceive you and smile at you and raise your hopes; they will speak kindly to you and say, “What do you need?” 7 They will embarrass you at their dinner parties, and finally laugh at you. Afterwards, when they see you, they will pass you by, and shake their heads at you.

We’ve all had them; users and abusers! They used you for whatever they needed from you at the time but drop you in a moment’s notice when funds run dry or they’ve consumed all they can deny. I thought I’d write today in rhyme as you listen to my time of shame afraid to tell a soul what I’ve seen what I’ve experienced what robbed me of my innocence. You see, in shadows cast, I stood alone, A puppet dancing to a callous tone.

Used and discarded, a mere vessel of need, embarrassed at dinners, my soul began to bleed. What did I lack? What was my crime? To be a pawn, a plaything, trapped in time.

My heart ached, burdened by their cruel jest, as laughter echoed, I wore a tattered vest.

At dinner parties, their words would pierce, whispered inquiries, stripping my inner peace. "What do you need?" they'd ask, with mocking tone, as if my dreams and desires were theirs to own. Embarrassment washed over me, like a tidal wave, as they basked in superiority, my spirit they'd deprave. But deep within, a fire began to ignite, A resolve to reclaim my worth, to take back my flight. For their laughter, their scorn, held no power here, I would not bow down, nor live in fear. Their shaking heads, their condescending glare, merely fueled the flame, my strength became aware. So, pass me on the streets, with disdain in your eyes, I'll walk with Jesus as my loving pride, I'll let His Spirit give me a rise. For I am not defined by your judgment's sting, I am more than a puppet, a dummy on a string. In the tapestry of life, I'll weave my own thread embracing Salvation’s authenticity, letting my soul be fed. No longer used by others, I did break free, to discover my worth, my true identity. For in the face of adversity, I'll stand Christ tall, No longer a victim, I'll defy their thrall. And though their laughter may haunt me still, I have risen above, with resilience living God’s Will. So, laugh if you must, with your noses held high, but know that I am more than meets the eye. No longer used, I'll forge my on in Christ’s Way, A testament to grace and strength, forgiveness in the face of dismay. Amen.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for a little boy named David Alexander. Praise God thank You Jesus. Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

You deceived when you are needed

Hopes yours raise you smiled at by them

Need you what saying kindly greeted

Yet at their parties embarrass you by sin

Laugh finally at you heads shaking passing with a grin
