The Gospel of Mark Chapter 13 V- 24 and 27
24 “But in those days after that tribulation the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, 25 and the stars will be falling from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken. 26 And then they will see ‘the Son of Man coming in the clouds with great power and glory,’ 27 and then he will send out the angels and gather [his] elect from the four winds, from the end of the earth to the end of the sky.”
Mark 13:24-27 speaks to the profound and often debated theme of tribulation and the second coming of Christ. In these verses, Jesus describes a time of great distress, followed by the cosmic signs heralding His return. Throughout history, biblical scholars have interpreted these passages as indicative of imminent tribulations, believing that each generation might be the one to witness Christ's return. However, I firmly believe, through personal discussions with God, that the tribulation is still a distance away.
This conviction does not lead to complacency; rather, it emphasizes the importance of living in a state of constant prayer and vigilance. In our daily lives, we are called to embody a spirit of Salvation, allowing God's will to guide our thoughts, actions, and deeds. It is in this state of readiness that we find our true purpose: to serve others, particularly those who are less fortunate, the imprisoned and the weak.
As we navigate life’s challenges, we are reminded that our mission is to be a source of hope and support for those in need. This act of service prepares our hearts for the eventual return of our Lord Jesus Christ. We must remain vigilant and ready, not out of fear, but out of love and dedication to God’s will. Our daily prayers and acts of kindness serve as a testament to our faith and readiness.
In conclusion, while many have anticipated the tribulations of their time, we are called to live in hope and service, actively preparing for Christ’s return. Let us remain steadfast in our mission of compassion and love, always ready, always believing. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**The Powers in the Heaven will be Shaken**
In shadows deep, the stars will fade,
A cosmic dance, the heavens laid,
The sun turned dark, the moon aglow,
A sign of hope, a truth to show.
The nations quake, the earth will sigh,
Yet from the dark, we lift our eyes,
For through the storm, a voice will call,
The Son of Man, He’ll gather the surrendered all.
With angels bright, on wings they’ll soar,
To bring the lost, to heaven’s door,
A promise made, a love so grand,
He’ll take us home, to the promised land.
Oh, let us not in fear abide,
But serve with grace, and stand with pride,
In every heart, let faith reside,
As we await our Savior’s guide.
For trials will come, but they won’t stay,
In prayerful hope, we find our way,
With open hands, we lift the meek,
In every act, His love we seek.
So let us shine, like stars above,
Always reflecting His everlasting love,
Prepared we stand, in joy we greet,
The day of our Lord, we’ll eternally meet. Amen.
