The Book of Ephesians 6 v- 13 thru 20

13 Therefore, put on the armor of God, that you may be able to resist on the evil day and, having done everything, to hold your ground.14 So stand fast with your loins girded in truth, clothed with righteousness as a breastplate, 15 and your feet shod in readiness for the gospel of peace. 16 In all circumstances, hold faith as a shield, to quench all [the] flaming arrows of the evil one.17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. 18 With all prayer and supplication, pray at every opportunity in the Spirit. To that end, be watchful with all perseverance and supplication for all the holy ones 19 and also for me, that speech may be given me to open my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel20 for which I am an ambassador in chains, so that I may have the courage to speak as I must.

Ephesians 6:13-20 calls we believers to equip ourselves with the Armor of God to stand firm against the challenges and spiritual battles we face. The passage begins with a powerful exhortation: "Therefore, take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand firm." This verse sets the stage for a detailed description of the divine armor, each piece carrying profound significance.

First, the belt of truth wraps around the believer, symbolizing integrity and the foundational truth of God's Word. Without truth, everything else falls apart. Next, the breastplate of righteousness protects the heart, representing a righteous life led by faith and obedience to God. This righteousness is not of our own making but is granted through faith in Christ.

The shoes of the gospel of peace signify readiness and stability, enabling believers to stand firm and move forward, spreading the message of peace through Jesus. The shield of faith is crucial; it extinguishes all the flaming arrows of the evil one, representing the believer's unwavering trust in God amidst trials and temptations.

The helmet of salvation guards the mind, reminding believers of their secure identity in Christ and the hope of eternal life. Lastly, the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, is the only offensive weapon. It’s sharp and powerful, able to cut through deception and lies, providing guidance and strength.

Prayer is the glue that holds this armor together. Paul urges believers to pray at all times in the Spirit, with all prayers and supplications, staying alert with perseverance, and praying for all the saints. This continuous communication with God empowers believers and keeps them vigilant.

Paul concludes by asking for prayers for himself, so that he may boldly proclaim the mystery of the gospel, even in chains. This highlights the importance of mutual support within the body of Christ. Ephesians 6:13-20 is a call to spiritual readiness, emphasizing the importance of truth, righteousness, readiness, faith, salvation, the Word of God, and prayer. By putting on the whole Armor of God, believers can stand firm against all adversities, fortified by divine strength and wisdom. It is my calling card for I live my life according the principals of the Armor of God. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

07-14-2024 Ephesians 6 V-1320

**Armor of God Salvation’s Helmet**

In times of trial, in days of strife,

Take up the armor, the gift of life.

Withstand the storm, in strength be bold,

For in His Word, let your faith unfold.

Gird your waist with truth, pure and bright,

A beacon of justice in the darkest night.

The breastplate of righteousness, wear with pride,

Guard your heart, let virtue guide.

Feet shod with peace, the gospel's song,

In steps of grace, where you belong.

The shield of faith, to quench the fire,

Extinguish doubts, uplift, and inspire.

Salvation's helmet, firm on your brow,

Protect your mind, renew your vow.

The sword of the Spirit, sharp and true,

God's living Word, to see you through.

In prayer and supplication, always stay,

With perseverance, in faith, you should pray.

Be watchful, vigilant, and strong,

For in His might, you do belong.

Ambassadors in chains, yet completely free,

Proclaim the mystery, His Salvation decree.

Boldly speak, with courage find,

The Armor of God, in heart and mind. Amen.
