One John Chapter One V- Five through Ten

5 Now this is the message that we have heard from him and proclaim to you: God is light, and in him there is no darkness at all. 6 If we say, “We have fellowship with him,” while we continue to walk in darkness, we lie and do not act in truth. 7 But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, then we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of his Son Jesus cleanses us from all sin. 8 If we say, “We are without sin,” we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we acknowledge our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive our sins and cleanse us from every wrongdoing.10 If we say, “We have not sinned,” we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.”

In 1 John 1:5-10, we encounter profound truths about the nature of God and our relationship with Him. The passage emphasizes that "God is light; in Him, there is no darkness at all." This declaration reminds us of the purity and holiness of God. As we strive to walk in fellowship with Him, we must confront the reality of our own sinfulness. The verses candidly state that if we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves, but if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us.

Acknowledging our sins is not merely an act of humility; it is essential for maintaining a vibrant relationship with God. Confession opens the door to genuine fellowship, allowing us to experience His grace and mercy fully. When we admit our shortcomings, we align ourselves with God's truth, fostering a deeper connection with Him. Regular confession helps us remain in the light and keeps our hearts attuned to His voice. It helps us remain in a state of grace.

Moreover, this call to confession extends beyond our personal lives. As we receive God's forgiveness, we are empowered to serve in the places where we are needed most—whether that be in our homes, communities, or churches. Serving others is a natural response to the grace we have received. It is often in the small acts of kindness and love that we reflect God's light to the world around us.

Let us remember that acknowledging our sins is a vital step toward spiritual growth. It allows us to remain in fellowship with our Creator and equips us to serve others effectively. In doing so, we become vessels of His love and grace, illuminating the darkness around us. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Acknowledge Our Sin He is Faithful to Us**

In the light of truth, we find our way,

A beacon bright, to guide each day.

God is pure, with no shadow cast,

In His embrace, our fears are surpassed.

If we claim to walk without a stain,

In our hearts, we harbor pain.

For all have sinned, we must confess,

In humble truth, we find our rest.

Confession brings the sweetest grace,

Restoring joy in His embrace.

He is faithful, our hearts He mends,

In His forgiveness, our sorrow ends.

The darkness flees when light draws near,

In His presence, we need not fear.

Let us share this light we’ve found,

In every home, in every ground.

In our communities, love we sow,

With open hearts, our kindness flow.

At church and home, we serve with cheer,

Reflecting Christ, our Savior dear.

So let us walk in light each day,

Confessing sins, come what may.

For in His love, we are made whole,

United with Him, body and soul. Amen.
