The Letter to the Romans Chapter 15 Verse One thru Nine

1 We who are strong ought to put up with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves;2 let each of us please our neighbor for the good, for building up. 3 For Christ did not please himself; but, as it is written, “The insults of those who insult you fall upon me.” 4 For whatever was written previously was written for our instruction, that by endurance and by the encouragement of the scriptures we might have hope. 5 May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to think in harmony with one another, in keeping with Christ Jesus, 6 that with one accord you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. 7 Welcome one another, then, as Christ welcomed you, for the glory of God.8 For I say that Christ became a minister of the circumcised to show God’s truthfulness, to confirm the promises to the patriarchs, 9 but so that the Gentiles might glorify God for his mercy. As it is written: “Therefore, I will praise you among the Gentiles and sing praises to your name.”

In Romans 15:1-9, the Apostle Paul reminds us of the profound responsibility we have as followers of Christ—to bear with one another, especially those who are weak or struggling. He urges us to prioritize the well-being of our neighbors over our own desires, echoing the very essence of Jesus’ teachings. Just as Christ did not seek to please Himself but instead took upon Himself our insults and sins, we are called to live similarly, lifting up those around us.

As you reside in this challenging environment, remember that even amidst trials, you have the beautiful opportunity to embody Christ's love and compassion. Jesus willingly bore our burdens and faced incredible suffering for our sake. When insults or negativity come your way, understand that these are laid upon Christ, who overcame them through His ultimate sacrifice on the Cross. He reminds us that our pain and frustrations can be transformed into strengths that allow us to teach and inspire others.

Your presence here, despite your circumstances, can become a beacon of hope for your fellow inmates. In sharing your story and the light of Christ within you, you have the power to open their eyes to the saving grace that is available to all. Remember that forgiveness and understanding are vital; they can create a pathway for healing, not just for yourselves but for those around you.

As you learn to please your neighbors, let this act of service be an outpouring of the love Jesus has demonstrated to you. Through His grace, you can become a light in the darkness, helping others to also see the path of salvation. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. Repose of the Soul John Jeffries. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

**Welcome One Another As Christ Welcomed You**

In strength, we bear the weight of grace,

We lift the weak, embrace the race.

For not for self, but for their sake,

In love, our hearts shall never break.

With gentle words and steadfast hands,

In unity, our purpose stands.

We guide the lost through weary days,

To walk in light, to sing His praise.

As Christ, our example, walked the way,

In service true, we’ll share the day.

He bore our sorrows, healed our strife,

Reflecting His eternal abundant life.

The Scriptures’ hope, our hearts ignite,

Together bound, we shine so bright.

With patience filled, in joy we trust,

In every trial, our love is just.

For all the world, the Savior’s call,

In every heart, His truth shall fall.

On gentiles fear, His grace displayed,

A symphony of love forever conveyed.

So let us join in fervent song,

For all the weak, the lost, the wronged.

In harmony, our voices will blend,

We gather 'round, and faith will mend. Amen.
