The Gospel of Luke Chapter 9 V- 23 and 27
23 Then (Jesus) said to all, “If anyone wishes to come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. 24 For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it. 25 What profit is there for one to gain the whole world yet lose or forfeit himself? 26 Whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. 27 Truly I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.”
In Luke 9:23-27, Jesus lays before us a profound call to discipleship. He invites us to deny ourselves, take up our cross daily, and follow Him. This passage is a powerful reminder that true life is discovered not in seeking our own desires but in surrendering ourselves to God's will. The call to carry our cross can be challenging, but it leads to transformation and deeper intimacy with God.
As we embark on the journey of Lent this year, I have decided from prayer to dedicate 40 days to pray daily in silence. This choice is a personal commitment to reflect inwardly, seeking God's guidance and listening for His divine instruction. During this sacred season, I will refrain from sharing my Universal Utterings until Easter Morning. It is my intention to step back from the rhythms of public sharing, allowing myself the space to grow spiritually and deepen my understanding of the Word.
While I will continue to hold the faithful in prayer during this time, my focus will turn inward, fostering a quiet relationship with God. In the stillness, I hope to hear His whispers more clearly, discerning how He wishes to lead me and shape my life moving forward.
May this season of Lent be an opportunity for us all to reflect, listen, and revive our spirits. As I await Easter, when I will joyfully return to sharing God's Word in rhyme, I encourage each of you to embrace your own journey of reflection. Together, may we grow in faith and grace. May God bless you all abundantly. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Whoever Is Ashamed of Me**
In whispers soft, He calls us near,
“Deny yourself, cast off your fear.
Take up your cross, the path is steep,
With faith in hand, Your promise keep.”
Each day unfolds, a choice we make,
To follow Him through joy and ache.
The world may lure, its treasures bright,
Yet in His love, we find our light.
What gains the world, if souls we lose?
In sacrifice, His way we choose.
With hearts aligned, we walk as one,
For in His death, our victory's won.
So let us rise, with courage bold,
In faith we bear our stories told.
Eternal life awaits each soul,
As we embrace our Savior's goal. Amen.
