The Book of Psalms Chapter 91 Verses 1 thru 16

1 You who dwell in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shade of the Almighty, 2 Say to the LORD, “My refuge and fortress, my God in whom I trust.” 3 He will rescue you from the fowler’s snare, from the destroying plague, 4 He will shelter you with his pinions, and under his wings you may take refuge; his faithfulness is a protecting shield. 5 You shall not fear the terror of the night nor the arrow that flies by day, 6 Nor the pestilence that roams in darkness, nor the plague that ravages at noon. 7 Though a thousand fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, near you it shall not come. 8 You need simply watch; the punishment of the wicked you will see. 9 Because you have the LORD for your refuge and have made the Most High your stronghold, 10 No evil shall befall you, no affliction come near your tent. 11 For he commands his angels with regard to you, to guard you wherever you go. 12 With their hands they shall support you, lest you strike your foot against a stone. 13 You can tread upon the asp and the viper, trample the lion and the dragon. 14 Because he clings to me I will deliver him; because he knows my name I will set him on high. 15 He will call upon me and I will answer; I will be with him in distress; I will deliver him and give him honor. 16 With length of days I will satisfy him and fill him with my saving power.

Psalm 91 is a profound declaration of trust and assurance in God’s protection and deliverance. In verses 1-16, the psalmist opens by proclaiming that those who dwell in the secret place of the Most High will find refuge under His wings. This secret place symbolizes an intimate relationship with God—an invitation for complete surrender to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Such surrender calls us to a life rooted in faith, where we lean not on our own understanding but wholly trust in His divine guidance.

The psalm serves as a powerful reminder of the spiritual refuge available to us when we acknowledge God as our Protector. He is described as a fortress and a deliverer, ensuring that when we seek Him earnestly, we are enveloped in His safety. Verse 3 reassures us that He will deliver us from the snare of the fowler and from deadly pestilences, signifying His power over both visible and unseen threats. Through complete surrender and faith in Christ's sacrifice, we can claim this divine promise of safety.

The passage also calls us to confront fear. The assurance of angelic protection in verses 11-12 highlights the lengths to which God will go to safeguard His children. When we confess our acceptance of His salvation, it is not merely a verbal declaration but a transformative acknowledgment of His authority and love.

Ultimately, as we surrender fully to God, we cultivate a profound sense of peace and security. The psalm concludes with God affirming His commitment to deliver, honor, and satisfy us with long life. In this sacred promise lies the essence of our faith: complete surrender leads us to the embrace of divine protection and the assurance of salvation. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

07-07-2025 Psalm 91 v0116

**Call Upon Me and I Will Answer**

In the secret place where shadows fall,

Beneath His wings, we hear His call,

The refuge found in His embrace,

A sacred bond, our hearts' true grace.

He shelters us from every snare,

With loving arms, He answers prayer,

Through trials fierce and darkest night,

In Him, we stand, secured and bright.

No fear shall grip the heart that's found

In faith's firm grip on solid ground,

For pestilence and dread may roam,

Yet in His love, we're safe at home.

His angels guard us on the way,

Their watchful eyes both night and day,

With faithful hands, they lift us high,

To shield us from all harm nearby.

When terror strikes and storms arise,

We'll trust His truth, see through the lies,

For He is faithful, ever near,

Our Savior strong, dispelling fear.

With every whisper of His name,

We rise in faith, igniting flame,

For in His love, salvation's kiss,

Our hearts converge in boundless bliss.

So let us dwell beneath His light,

Embrace His promise, pure and bright,

In Him, our shelter, strong and sure,

Eternal peace, our hope secure. Amen.
