The Book of Sirach Ch 11 v- 29 & 34

29 Not everyone should be brought into your house, for many are the snares of the crafty. 34 Admit strangers into your home, and they will stir up trouble and make you a stranger to your own family.

Growing up in Gainesville, I used to let any and all kids from miles around into my home. I fed, played games and watched many a movie with my so-called neighborhood friends while a few of them took more than just a meal from our surroundings I truly learned my lesson when I became an adult and shame entered my soul in the name of forced trauma and began to hang around some very seedy people. While nothing major was ever stolen from my home as a kid, but none the less this adage makes a lot of sense as you grow older especially if you get caught up in some sort shame of addiction; drugs, sex or stealing. Then you’ll be wise not to bring a soul to your home to keep secret what you are already trying to hide. But once it gets to the point of hiding your very self amidst others detrimental desires you would be wise not to let anyone enter lest you find yourself robbed blind and even murdered over the smallest thing to hinder an addiction. Satan will steal you blind and come back a second time to destroy the Divine. I believe once I gave in to being a person of faith I was willing to seek out the lost without worry or haste for I had conquered the shame and addiction of waste. Now I am careful who I bring to my home. I have made a mistake or two in trusting some to come over but I have learned to trust those whose heart rests in Jesus to enter my dwelling secure where I love to cook and honor God with every ounce of my being secure. Let’s listen to a poem that reflects this need of surrendering to God not strangers of greed. Amen.

Surrendering to God not strangers of greed

Beware, dear soul, of strangers at your door,

For hidden beneath masks, deceit may pour.

Like Satan's whispers, they'll manipulate,

With vile intentions, they'll desecrate.

Within their guise, danger often lies,

A twisted plot concealed behind their eyes.

Though their words may be coated in honeyed charm,

Their intentions are meant to bring you harm.

A stranger's path is an uncertain way,

Their motives veiled, like shadows at play.

They may come bearing promises of gold,

But their true aim may be to steal your soul.

Oh, let not these strangers within your home,

For they may rob and kill, as Satan roams.

Protect the haven that shelters your heart,

For in its warmth, love and trust impart.

Instead, invite those whom your spirit adores,

The ones who uplift, whose presence restores.

Gather your kin, your chosen family,

For in their embrace, you'll find unity.

Let God's will guide you through life's winding road,

With loved ones around, your faith will be stowed.

Together, you'll flourish, strong and secure,

In the sacred bonds that forever shall endure.

So, hold fast to those who share your beliefs,

Whose love and support will bring you relief.

For in their presence, you shall never roam,

No longer a stranger, but welcomed home.

In God's embrace, find solace and grace,

Embrace the light that shines upon your face.

Keep strangers afar, but open your heart,

To those you cherish, never to depart. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for a little boy named David Alexander. Praise God thank You Jesus. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

House yours let not everyone enter

Crafty people create snares that are many

House yours that entertains strangers in the center

Trouble stir up stranger become family disown destroyed a plenty
