The Book of Genesis Chapter 6 V- 5 and 8

5 When the LORD saw how great the wickedness of human beings was on earth, and how every desire that their heart conceived was always nothing but evil, 6 the LORD regretted making human beings on the earth, and his heart was grieved.7 So the LORD said: I will wipe out from the earth the human beings I have created, and not only the human beings, but also the animals and the crawling things and the birds of the air, for I regret that I made them. 8 But Noah found favor with the LORD.

Genesis 6:5-8 presents a poignant moment in the biblical narrative where humanity's wickedness has reached a peak, prompting profound grief in the heart of God. Verse 5 reveals that every inclination of the thoughts of the human heart was only evil all the time, illustrating a world steeped in sin and corruption. However, amidst this moral decay, we encounter Noah, described in verse 8 as a man who “found favor in the eyes of the Lord.” This favor was not arbitrary but stemmed from Noah’s righteous character and unwavering faith.

Noah’s devoutness is a reminder of what it means to walk with God amidst a society dominated by wrongdoing. While others indulged in wickedness, Noah remained steadfast, exemplifying obedience and trust in God. His actions reflected a heart aligned with divine principles, positioning him as an instrument of hope and renewal. This narrative underscores a fundamental truth: favor with God is available to those who live righteously and seek to reflect His goodness in their lives.

Just as Noah found favor through his faith and actions, we too can cultivate a relationship with the Lord that delights His heart. Living not as wicked human beings, but as devoted followers of Christ, means choosing repentance, forgiveness, and a commitment to reflect God's love in our daily interactions. This form of repentance—turning away from sin and embracing a life that honors God—opens the door to His favor. If we genuinely believe in God’s promises and strive to embody His character, we can experience the same grace that Noah did. Therefore, let us seek to be faithful, for with belief and devotion, we, too, can find favor with the Lord. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

02-18-2025 Genesis 6 v0508

**The Lord Regretted Making Human Beings**

In days of darkness, hearts entwined

With wicked thoughts, where sin aligned,

The earth was filled with grief and sorrow,

As evil ruled, void of tomorrow.

Yet in the midst of stormy strife,

One man stood firm, a beacon of life.

Noah, chosen, found favor divine,

With faith unshaken, his heart did shine.

He walked with God, both strong and true,

A righteous path, he daily knew.

In faithfulness, he built the ark,

A symbol of hope, a faithful spark.

Though judgment loomed for all to see,

Noah’s devotion set his spirit free.

For in his heart, the Lord did dwell,

In favor found, he’d break sin’s spell. Amen.
