The Gospel of Matthew Chapter 28 Verse 16 thru 20

16 The eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had ordered them.17 When they saw him, they worshiped, but they doubted. 18 Then Jesus approached and said to them, “All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, until the end of the age.”

Happy Feast of the Ascension of our Lord! Matthew 28:16-20 contains Christ’s powerful Great Commission before He ascends to His Father, a call to action that resonates even within the confines of prison walls. In these verses, Jesus instructs His disciples to make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. This command isn't confined to those with freedom; it applies to you, no matter your circumstances. Those we affectionately call; the Men in Blue. The prisoners we minister to in our local prison.

You may feel isolated or forgotten behind bars, but God sees you and has a purpose for your life. Just as the disciples were commissioned to spread the message of hope and redemption, you too are called to share your testimony, your faith, and God’s love with others. Your unique experiences can inspire those around you, showing that even in difficult times, the grace of God can illuminate the darkest places.

Overcoming doubt is a common challenge, especially when the world around you seems bleak. However, reading the Word of God daily empowers you and strengthens your spirit. Scripture is alive; it brings wisdom, peace, and understanding. As you immerse yourself in the teachings of the Bible, you’ll find that God’s promises are true, and His love never wavers. In moments of uncertainty or fear, let the Scriptures remind you of your identity and purpose as a follower of Christ.

So, rise to this divine calling, even from behind bars. You are not just a prisoner; you are a disciple, a witness, and a disciple-maker. Let your spirit soar as you embrace the life-giving mission entrusted to you. In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, go forth and share the love and truth of Christ. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

05-17-2026 Matthew 28 V1620

**I Am With You Always**

In Galilee's hills, where disciples convene,

A promise fulfilled, where the Savior had been.

Eleven once shaken, now steadfast and bold,

To meet with their Master, the Ascension to behold.

"All authority’s given," His words filled the air,

In heaven and earth, His power laid bare.

“Go forth, my dear followers, to nations afar,

Baptizing in water, as bright as a star.

In the name of the Father, the Spirit, the Son,

Embrace every soul, let His love be your fun.

Teach them My Ways, let the truth be unfurled,

Make disciples of all, to the ends of the world.

In every small moment, in trials you face,

Remember, I’m with you, in each warm embrace.

Until the end of the age, I’ll walk by your side,

In faith, take the journey; in grace, abide.

So rise, O believers, with courage ignite,

With hearts full of joy, spread His love and light.

For the Great Commission is given to thee,

To share the good news of God’s love, wild and free. Amen.
