The Letter to the Ephesians Chapter 1 Verse 15 thru 23
15 Therefore, I, too, hearing of your faith in the Lord Jesus and of your love for all the holy ones, 16 do not cease giving thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers, 17 that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and revelation resulting in knowledge of him. 18 May the eyes of [your] hearts be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that belongs to his call, what are the riches of glory in his inheritance among the holy ones, 19 and what is the surpassing greatness of his power for us who believe, in accord with the exercise of his great might,20 which he worked in Christ, raising him from the dead and seating him at his right hand in the heavens, 21 far above every principality, authority, power, and dominion, and every name that is named not only in this age but also in the one to come. 22 And he put all things beneath his feet and gave him as head over all things to the church, 23 which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way.
In Ephesians 1:15-23, the Apostle Paul offers a profound prayer for the believers in Ephesus, expressing gratitude for their growing faith and love. He emphasizes the importance of spiritual wisdom and revelation, urging them to grasp the depth of their inheritance in Christ. In these verses, Paul highlights the surpassing greatness of God's power available to those who believe—a power that is not only transformative but also deeply personal.
The “surpassing greatness of His power” is demonstrated in the resurrection of Jesus Christ, an act that defeated sin and death and placed Christ at the right hand of God in heavenly realms. This same power that raised Jesus is at work in every believer's life. It assures us that we are not alone in our struggles or challenges; rather, we are equipped with divine strength that enables us to overcome obstacles and live victoriously.
Paul's prayer invites us to seek a deeper understanding of this incredible power. He reminds us that, as believers, we are part of something much bigger than ourselves. We are united with Christ, who reigns over all things—every authority, power, and dominion—making the Church His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
Understanding this surpassing greatness not only transforms our perspective but instills in us a hope that transcends our circumstances. We are called to live boldly, recognizing that the same power that raised Christ from the dead is at work within us. As we navigate life's challenges, let us remember that we are empowered by His grace to extend love, live with purpose, and spread His kingdom. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Authority Power And Dominion**
In Ephesus, the blessed call,
A letter penned, a truth for all.
With hearts aflame and faith so bright,
Paul speaks to them, guiding in light.
He thanks the Lord for their embrace,
Their love for others, a holy grace.
For in their trust, a bond so strong,
They walk in faith, where they belong.
He prays for wisdom, enlightened sight,
That they may know their hope's true light.
The riches vast, His glory's sway,
In hearts and minds, let truth convey.
The power that raised the Son from the grave,
A promise to all who believe and crave.
Seated in heavenly realms, they reign,
With Christ, the head, their eternal gain.
The Church, His body, chosen and dear,
Filled with His fullness, ever so near.
In every age, through each new dawn,
His love and purpose carry on.
So let us heed this sacred call,
To love and serve, to give our all.
In Christ we stand, united, free,
A glimpse of heaven's unity. Amen.
