The Book of Sirach Ch 23 v- 18 thru 19
18 The man who dishonors his marriage bed says to himself, “Who can see me? Darkness surrounds me, walls hide me, no one sees me. Who can stop me from sinning?” He is not mindful of the Most High, 19 fearing only human eyes. He does not realize that the eyes of the Lord, ten thousand times brighter than the sun, Observe every step taken and peer into hidden corners.
This is one of the greatest feelings that I have ever known; To never dishonor the marriage bed. For some reason some people who believe in an absolute right that they call a fundament right to do anything to anyone it seems especially to themselves. That they would never defile their marriage bed but would allow anyone anywhere to be a liar in the face of truth and act as if it doesn’t matter but they will make sure they never ruin the truth of their union as one in a marriage. They want to abide by the Law but deny the Law in the end. Even to go as far as say that God does not exist and my choice to live with my mate only is a natural choice of love. Ok. Sure. They are living according to the Law because for they know no soul wants to be cheated on while others cheat openly.
We Christians believe that marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman that is meant to be honored and respected. By remaining faithful to our spouse and not engaging in activities that defile the marriage bed, we Christians uphold the sanctity of our marriage and experience greater fulfillment and happiness in our relationship. Adhering to the principles of fidelity and commitment in marriage can lead to greater trust, intimacy, and emotional connection between partners, resulting in a happier and more fulfilling relationship. Additionally, by following biblical teachings on marriage and sexual morality, Christians believe they are honoring God and living in accordance with His Will, which brings a sense of peace and contentment. I call it being one with your spouse calling them your Soul-Mate in Christ seeking everything together.
As humans, we often try to hide our thoughts, actions, and emotions from God because we may feel ashamed, guilty, or fearful of judgment. We may believe that if we can conceal our wrongdoings from others, including God, we can avoid facing the consequences of our actions. However, deep down, we are aware that God is all-knowing and omnipresent, meaning He sees and knows everything, even the things we try to keep hidden.
Despite our attempts to hide from God, we ultimately know that we cannot escape His presence and that He sees through our pretenses and facades. This awareness can lead to feelings of conviction and accountability, as we realize that we are accountable to God for our actions and that we cannot deceive Him. Knowing that God sees everything can also be a source of comfort and reassurance for believers, as it means that God is always watching over them, guiding them, and offering them forgiveness and grace. It serves as a reminder that God is omniscient, merciful, and compassionate, and that He is always there for us, even when we try to hide from Him in the corner of shame. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

03-14-2024 Sirach 23 v-1819
**Out of sight out of mind sinning**
Man’s bed of marriage dishonored deal
Speaking to himself alone he squeals
I’m surrounded by darkness me seen by who
Me hidden by walls that nobody can see through
Out of sight out of mind sinning me stopped by who you
Most High unmindful that He sees around corners as truth
Eyes only human feared as his unreasoned spoof
Denies the Lord’s eyes are the sun’s brightness aloof
