The Gospel of Luke Chapter One Verse 26 Thru 38

26 In the sixth month, the angel Gabriel was sent from God to a town of Galilee called Nazareth, 27 to a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph, of the house of David, and the virgin’s name was Mary. 28 And coming to her, he said, “Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you.”29 But she was greatly troubled at what was said and pondered what sort of greeting this might be. 30 Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. 31 Behold, you will conceive in your womb and bear a son, and you shall name him Jesus. 32 He will be great and will be called Son of the Most High, and the Lord God will give him the throne of David his father, 33 and he will rule over the house of Jacob forever, and of his kingdom there will be no end.” 34 But Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I have no relations with a man?” 35 And the angel said to her in reply, “The holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. Therefore the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God.36 And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; 37 for nothing will be impossible for God.” 38 Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord. May it be done to me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her.

In Luke 1:26-38, we encounter a pivotal moment in Christian theology—the Annunciation. This passage describes the Angel Gabriel's visit to Mary in Nazareth, where he delivers the profound message that she will conceive and bear the Son of God, Jesus Christ. Mary's acceptance of this divine mission, encapsulated in her humble reply, "I am the servant of the Lord; let it be done to me according to your word," exemplifies her faith and willingness to surrender to God's will.

The foundation of the Holy Rosary is deeply rooted in this scriptural event. The Rosary is a meditative prayer that invites the faithful to reflect on the key moments in the life of Jesus and Mary. The Annunciation is one of the Joyful Mysteries that form the Rosary’s structure. By meditating on these mysteries, believers contemplate the miraculous nature of Christ’s incarnation and the faithfulness of Mary’s response. This practice brings the narrative of the Annunciation into the hearts and minds of those who pray, allowing them to connect spiritually with this sacred moment. My wife and I pray this prayer every single day.

The tradition of the Rosary, as we know it today, was popularly promoted by St. Dominic in the 13th century. It is said that he received a revelation from the Blessed Virgin Mary herself, encouraging him to use the Rosary as a tool for prayer and evangelization. By invoking her intercession, St. Dominic aimed to combat heresy and lead others to a deeper relationship with Christ through meditative prayer.

Thus, Luke 1:26-38 does not merely stand as a historical event; it serves as a cornerstone for the Holy Rosary, reminding believers of Mary’s pivotal role in salvation history and the power of prayer rooted in her profound acceptance of God's will. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

12-20-2025 Luke 1 v2638

**Hail Mary Full of Grace**

In Galilean skies, the angels soar,

A message sent, a promise to explore.

To Mary fair, in Nazareth’s embrace,

A humble maiden, chosen for her grace.

The sixth month comes, in silence profound,

The Spirit whispers, a heavenly sound.

"Rejoice, O favored one," the angel proclaims,

"God’s blessing upon you, forever will reign."

"Fear not," he speaks, with wings of light,

"For you will bear the Son, a wondrous sight.

He'll be called Jesus, the Savior dear,

With love unending, cast away all fear."

His kingdom shall grow, with peace to bestow,

A reign without end, where joy’s rivers flow.

"How can this be?" Mary softly replies,

"Since I am but a maiden, under these skies."

"God’s power will shield you, the Spirit shall come,

The Most High will bless you, your heart’s sacred home.

For nothing is impossible; with God, all is true,

Embrace this calling, let faith carry you."

With courage ignited, she answers with grace,

"May it be as you say, O Lord, face to face."

In that moment, the world turned anew,

For hope took its form, in a heart so true.

So let us remember, this story divine,

Of faith in the shadows, where light begins to shine.

A call to believe, in mystery profound,

As Mary said yes, and love’s echo resounds. Amen.
