The Book of Psalms Chapter 1 v- One thru Two

1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, Nor stand in the way of sinners, nor sit in company with scoffers. 2 Rather, the law of the LORD is his joy; and on his law he meditates day and night.

Psalm 1:1-2 states, “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night.” These verses resonate deeply with my decision to surrender my life to living God first in Jesus.

In a world filled with distractions and temptations, the wisdom of this Psalm highlights the importance of choosing the right path. The imagery of walking, standing, and sitting illustrates the gradual descent into a life disconnected from God. I realized that to truly experience the blessings promised in Scripture, I needed to distance myself from influences that led me away from His teachings.

Delighting in the law of the Lord became a transformative practice for me. It was no longer about merely following rules; it was about embracing God’s Commands as a source of life and joy. By meditating on His Word day and night, I found strength, guidance, and clarity. This commitment reoriented my priorities and allowed me to align my actions with His will.

Surrendering my life to Christ meant recognizing that true fulfillment comes from living in accordance with His commands. By immersing myself in the Psalms, I discovered a rich tapestry of worship, wisdom, and encouragement. These sacred texts provided a roadmap for my journey, helping me cultivate a heart that seeks God above all else.

Ultimately, choosing to live for God first has brought peace, purpose, and direction into my life. I am grateful for the transformation that stems from placing my trust in Jesus and following the path laid out in His Word. Amen.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**The Lord is his Joy**

In quiet grace, a path unfolds,

Where wisdom whispered, truth beholds.

Not in the ways of those who stray,

But in the light of God’s pure amazing way.

Blessed is the heart that seeks to find,

Delight in laws, both wise and kind.

No company of mockers residing here,

Just love and reverence, drawing near.

With every step, I choose my ground,

In sacred soil, my roots are found.

I meditate on His gentle Word,

In day and night, His voice is heard.

A tree that flourishes, strong and free,

Nourished by streams of eternity.

In His commands, my joy is spun,

A life transformed, His will be done.

So let me walk, stand firm, and rest,

In paths of righteousness, I am truly blessed.

For in His law, my soul will thrive,

In living for God first, my heart’s alive. Amen.
