The First Letter of John Chapter 4 V- One through Six
1 Beloved, do not trust every spirit but test the spirits to see whether they belong to God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 2 This is how you can know the Spirit of God: every spirit that acknowledges Jesus Christ come in the flesh belongs to God, 3 and every spirit that does not acknowledge Jesus does not belong to God. This is the spirit of the antichrist that, as you heard, is to come, but in fact is already in the world. 4 You belong to God, children, and you have conquered them, for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5 They belong to the world; accordingly, their teaching belongs to the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We belong to God, and anyone who knows God listens to us, while anyone who does not belong to God refuses to hear us. This is how we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of deceit.
In 1 John 4:1-6, the Apostle John urges believers to be discerning regarding the spirits that influence the world. He emphasizes the importance of testing every spirit to see whether they are from God, as many false prophets have entered the world. This passage serves as a reminder that not everyone will accept the message of Christ, and some may even reject it repeatedly. However, our response to those who resist the Gospel is crucial.
We must never lose hope for those who do not listen to our words about Christ. Instead of becoming frustrated or resentful, we should approach them with humility and respect. Remember that each person is on their own spiritual journey, and our role is to be vessels of love and patience. Christ himself demonstrated profound compassion for those who strayed, encouraging us to do the same.
Maintaining a posture of prayer is vital. By keeping those who deny Jesus in our prayers, we align ourselves with God's will, seeking His guidance to touch their hearts. Prayer is a powerful tool that can soften hardened hearts and open blind eyes. It is in our humble requests that we invite God to work in ways we may not see or understand.
Ultimately, our mission is to reflect Christ's love, even to those who reject Him. By embodying respect and grace, we create an environment where transformation can occur. It is through our steadfast love and continuous prayer that we can hope to see lives changed. Let us remain committed to this calling, trusting that God can accomplish His will in the hearts of those who need Jesus the most, even if the journey is long and challenging. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Do Not Trust Every Spirit**
In the shadows where doubts may dwell,
A call to test, a truth to tell,
For many voices seek to sway,
But only One leads us the way.
“Beloved, believe not every sound,
For falsehoods whisper all around.
The Spirit of God, let us discern,
In His light, our hearts will learn.
From heaven's throne, love poured so deep,
In Christ alone, our souls shall keep.
He came in flesh, His glory shown,
The Word made flesh, to us, He’s known.
The world may scoff, their hearts may harden,
Yet grace abounds in every garden.
With humble hearts, we’ll gently share,
The hope of Christ, a love so rare.
For every soul that turns away,
We lift them up, we kneel and pray,
In patience wrapped, and kindness dressed,
We trust in Him, for He knows us best.
So let us stand, with Love Divine,
In truth and grace, we’ll bide our time.
For every heart, He longs to save,
In prayer and love, let’s be His wave.
Through trials faced and voices loud,
We seek the lost, we stand in the crowd.
In Christ, our strength, we find our way,
To shine His light, come what may. Amen.
