The Book of Psalms Chapter 126 V- One and Two
1 When the LORD restored the captives of Zion, we thought we were dreaming. 2 Then our mouths were filled with laughter; our tongues sang for joy. Then it was said among the nations, “The LORD had done great things for them.”
Psalm 126:1-2 beautifully captures the essence of joy and restoration that comes from divine intervention. “When the Lord restored the fortunes of Zion, we were like those who dreamed. Our mouths were filled with laughter, our tongues with songs of joy.” These verses resonate deeply with my own experience since accepting Jesus Christ as my personal friend and Savior.
Reflecting on that transformative moment, I can vividly recall the overwhelming sense of peace and joy that washed over me. It felt as if a weight had been lifted, and for the first time in my life, I could breathe freely, unburdened by shame and guilt from my past. The acknowledgment of my sins, once a source of despair, became a testament to grace and forgiveness. In accepting Jesus, I found not just a Savior but a friend who embraces me amidst my imperfections.
The imagery in Psalm 126 evokes the laughter and songs that now fill my heart. My days are no longer draped in the shadows of regret, but instead illuminated by the hope and joy that faith brings. Each moment feels like a celebration, a reminder of the restoration that God has worked in my life. The shame that once held me captive has been replaced with a profound sense of purpose and belonging.
The joy I experience is not merely a fleeting emotion; it is the deep-rooted assurance that I am loved, forgiven, and accepted. My heart sings a new song, one of gratitude for the grace that has transformed my life. Just as the psalmist reflects on the joy of restoration, I, too, revel in the blessings that flow from my relationship with Christ, a relationship that continues to deepen and enrich my life daily. Is He enriching your life? Call on Him and find the true peace God instills in all mankind. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

**Our Mouths Were Filled with Laughter**
When the Lord restored our hearts anew,
Like dreams awoken, skies of brilliant blue.
With laughter rising, we danced in delight,
Joy filled our souls, banishing the night.
In times of sorrow, we felt His embrace,
With every tear, He wiped from our face.
The chains of the past, in grace were released,
What once brought us shame, now joy has increased.
Our mouths overflowed with songs of pure praise,
In the light of His love, we bask in His ways.
Each moment a treasure, each heartbeat a prayer,
In the arms of our Savior, we find refuge there.
So let us remember the joy we have found,
In the Lord’s sweet restoration, our hearts now abound.
With laughter and singing, our spirits take flight,
For in His great mercy, we walk in His light. Amen.
