The Letter of Isaiah Chapter 50 Verse 4 thru 7

4 The Lord GOD has given me a well-trained tongue, That I might know how to answer the weary a word that will waken them. Morning after morning he wakens my ear to hear as disciples do; 5 The Lord GOD opened my ear; I did not refuse, did not turn away. 6 I gave my back to those who beat me, my cheeks to those who tore out my beard; My face I did not hide from insults and spitting. 7 The Lord GOD is my help, therefore I am not disgraced; Therefore I have set my face like flint, knowing that I shall not be put to shame.

Isaiah 50:4-7 presents a profound message about the resilience and strength found in faith and obedience to God. In these verses, the speaker reflects on the Lord's provision of a "well-instructed tongue" to comfort the weary. It is often through our wounds and trials that God's glory shines the brightest.

Finally, verse 7 proclaims a steadfastness in the face of opposition: "Because the Sovereign Lord helps me, I will not be disgraced." This reminder is crucial for anyone engaged in spiritual ministry; knowing that the Lord sustains you empowers you to remain steadfast regardless of external challenges. Embrace your calling to speak out, for your voice—grounded in scripture and fortified by faith—can be a beacon of hope in a world hungry for truth. Amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. **God Has Given Me A Well-Trained Tongue**

In the quiet dawn, a voice does rise,

A whisper of wisdom, beneath the skies.

“Lord God, a tongue to teach,” it calls,

To comfort the weary, as night gently falls.

Each morning He awakens my ear,

To listen, to learn, to draw ever near.

For the lips that speak truth, though bruised and worn,

Speak love and conviction, to mend hearts torn.

Like a shepherd, He guides with steadfast grace,

As insults and scorn find their rightful place.

For I set my face like flint, unafraid,

In the midst of despising, my strength displayed.

He who justifies, my heart shall not dread,

With courage imbued, no sorrow I’ll tread.

For the Lord is my helper, with me He stays,

In the trials of life, I'll sing His praise.

In the power of Spirit, my resolve is set,

Through trials and turmoil, by faith I am met.

For the words on my lips, though humble, will soar,

With a voice that is lifted, in Christ forevermore. Amen.
