The Gospel Book of Wisdom Chapter 3 V- One and Five
1 The souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and no torment shall touch them. 2 They seemed, in the view of the foolish, to be dead; and their passing away was thought an affliction 3 and their going forth from us, utter destruction. But they are in peace. 4 For if to others, indeed, they seem punished, yet is their hope full of immortality; 5 Chastised a little, they shall be greatly blessed, because God tried them and found them worthy of himself.
Wisdom 3:1-5 invites profound reflection on the nature of mortality and the promise of eternal life through faith in Christ. The verses remind us that while the righteous may face trials in this world, their true essence transcends earthly existence. As I meditate on this passage, I am acutely aware of my mortality, recognizing that life is fleeting and fragile. Yet, in Christ, I find a source of eternal hope and peace.
The text speaks of the righteous being “in the Hand of God,” a powerful imagery that assures me of divine protection and guidance. This relationship offers a sense of security amidst the uncertainties of life. The acknowledgment of my mortality becomes a catalyst for living with intention and purpose. I am called to embrace the present, knowing that my days are numbered, and to seek a life that reflects the values of the Kingdom. Giving your all!
In Christ, I experience a transformative awakening—a realization that death is not the end but a passage into eternal life. This understanding shifts my perspective, allowing me to navigate the challenges of existence with a heart anchored in peace. The struggles I face become opportunities for growth, shaping me into a vessel of grace and righteousness.
As I strive to live out my faith, I am reminded that my identity is rooted in being “in the Hand of God.” This divine connection empowers me to face my mortality with courage, knowing that I am called to a higher purpose. I am not merely a transient being; I am a participant in the eternal story of redemption. Thus, I am inspired to live a life marked by love, compassion, and righteousness, reflecting the peace that comes from being in communion with the Triune Creator. Amen.
Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.
At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.
I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

11-02-2024 Wisdom 3 V-0105
**In the Hand of God**
In shadows deep, where mortals tread,
The righteous rise, though they seem dead.
Their spirits soar on wings of grace,
Awakening to a sacred space.
For life is brief, like morning dew,
Yet in this truth, my heart breaks through.
In Christ, I find eternal light,
A beacon shining through each and every night.
Though trials come, I stand my ground,
In the Hand of God, my peace is found.
With every breath, I claim my place,
A child of love, embraced by grace.
The world may wane, its glory fade,
Yet in His arms, I am remade.
For death is but a fleeting door,
To life anew, forevermore.
So let my days reflect His love,
As I reach toward the heavens above.
In every moment, let me see,
The gift of life, eternally free.
In wisdom's light, my soul will rise,
Awake to truth beyond the skies.
For I am called, and I will stand,
Forever held in God's own hand. Amen.
