The Gospel of John Chapter 15 Verses 18 thru 27

18 “If the world hates you, realize that it hated me first. 19 If you belonged to the world, the world would love its own; but because you do not belong to the world, and I have chosen you out of the world, the world hates you. 20 Remember the word I spoke to you, ‘No slave is greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. 21 And they will do all these things to you on account of my name, because they do not know the one who sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would have no sin; but as it is they have no excuse for their sin. 23 Whoever hates me also hates my Father. 24 If I had not done works among them that no one else ever did, they would not have sin; but as it is, they have seen and hated both me and my Father. 25 But in order that the word written in their law might be fulfilled, ‘They hated me without cause.’26 “When the Advocate comes whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth that proceeds from the Father, he will testify to me. 27 And you also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning.”

In John 15:18-27, Jesus warns His disciples about the hatred they will face from the world. He reminds them that if they belong to Him, they will be at odds with a world that does not understand His truth. This passage creates an opportunity to reflect on the current cultural landscape, marked by confusion and division, often exacerbated by ideologies that contradict the fundamental principles of life and purpose established by God.

Today, we witness the tumultuous rise of movements that promote the right to terminate innocent lives and challenge the sanctity of gender. These ideologies reflect a deep-seated confusion sown by Satan, who seeks to distort God’s design for humanity. By promoting the notion that life can be disregarded and identities fundamentally altered, the enemy creates chaos. However, rather than succumbing to this pervasive hate and confusion, we are called to stand firm in our faith.

In these times, Jesus promises us an Advocate—the Holy Spirit—who guides us into all truth. He equips us to discern right from wrong and encourages us to hold steadfastly to the teachings of Christ. This Spirit helps us confront the excesses of our culture with love and clarity, reminding us that every life holds immeasurable value and that our identities are divinely crafted.

We must reject the narratives that lead to destruction and instead embrace the truth of God’s Word. Let us be instruments of peace and advocates for life, reaching out to those ensnared in confusion with compassion and truth. May we boldly share the message of hope and redemption found in Christ, empowered by the Advocate to be an eternal light in the deepest darkness we could ever imagine. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

05-24-25 John 15 v1827

**Whoever Hates Me Also Hates My Father**

In shadows deep where hatred lies,

A call to those who seek the skies.

For if the world its disdain shows,

Remember, dear hearts, Christ’s love still glows.

The world may scorn, the world may hate,

Yet know, beloved, we have our fate.

To walk in truth, though trials arise,

Embracing light that never dies.

“My own, you are, though scorned and tried,

For in My name, you shall abide.”

The Advocate sent, our guiding light,

To lead us through the darkest night.

In turmoil’s grasp, where lies entwine,

We stand for life, both pure and divine.

In every heart, God’s image stands,

With life’s embrace held in His hands.

Reject the chaos, the culture's ploy,

In Christ, we find our strength and joy.

Speak gentle truths with courage bold,

For love’s embrace is worth more than gold.

So let our voices rise in song,

For in His love, we all belong.

With faith ignited, we shall proclaim,

His timeless truth, forever the same. Amen.
