The Gospel of John Chapter 14 v- 1 thru 14

1 “Do not let your hearts be troubled. You have faith in God; have faith also in me. 2 In my Father’s house there are many dwelling places. If there were not, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you? 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back again and take you to myself, so that where I am you also may be. 4 Where [I] am going you know the way.” 5 Thomas said to him, “Master, we do not know where you are going; how can we know the way?”6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. 7 If you know me, then you will also know my Father. From now on you do know him and have seen him.” 8 Philip said to him, “Master, show us the Father, and that will be enough for us.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you for so long a time and you still do not know me, Philip? Whoever has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own. The Father who dwells in me is doing his works. 11 Believe me that I am in the Father and the Father is in me, or else, believe because of the works themselves. 12 Amen, amen, I say to you, whoever believes in me will do the works that I do, and will do greater ones than these, because I am going to the Father. 13 And whatever you ask in my name, I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask anything of me in my name, I will do it.”

John 14:1-14 offers profound reassurance and a call to deep faith. Jesus begins with the comforting words, “Do not let your hearts be troubled,” inviting us to trust in Him and the promise of eternal life. This passage profoundly resonates with my core of belief, especially when I reflect on the reality of His presence—Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity—in the Eucharist.

My journey of faith echoes the sentiment, “If only we’d believe.” This belief has transformed my life in ways I never imagined. Embracing the reality of Christ’s presence has given me strength and purpose, leading me to make significant sacrifices, including distancing myself from family ties to honor the name of Jesus. This decision, though challenging, stemmed from a deep conviction that transcends worldly attachments.

Jesus’s invitation to believe is not just about intellectual assent; it’s about a relationship that demands trust and commitment. When we truly believe in His presence and the power of His love, we find a source of peace that calms our troubled hearts. The miracles of faith unfold in our lives when we embrace this truth.

In the verses following His assurance, Jesus promises that whatever we ask in His name, He will do. This is an extraordinary invitation to live in a radical faith, one that believes in the transformative power of His presence. If only we’d believe, we would witness even greater works in our lives and the lives of those around us. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

10-17-2024 John 14 V-0114

**If Only We’d Believe**

In troubled hearts, He whispers low,

“Believe in Me, let not fear grow.

In My Father’s house, a place awaits,

Where love abounds, and hope elates.

The path is clear, the way is true,

Through every trial, I walk with you.

For where I go, you too shall be,

In sacred bond, you’ll dwell with Me.

Thomas questioned, “Show us the way,”

But Jesus smiled, “I am the way to pray.

The truth, the life, in every breath,

In Me, you find your hope, not death.”

With faith as small as a mustard seed,

Your prayers will flourish, your heart will lead.

Ask in My name, and it will be,

The wonders of love, a tapestry.

So cast your worries, let spirits soar,

For I am with you, forevermore.

In every moment, I’m by your side,

In joy and sorrow, your faithful guide.

If only we’d believe, our eyes unveiled,

The beauty of grace, in love, we’re hailed.

In every heartbeat, in every sigh,

“Do not let your hearts be troubled,” hear Jesus reply. Amen.
