The Book of Matthew 10 v- 12 thru 14

12 As you enter a house, wish it peace. 13 If the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; if not, let your peace return to you. 14 Whoever will not receive you or listen to your words—go outside that house or town and shake the dust from your feet.

Matthew 10:12-14 is a passage in the New Testament where Jesus gives specific instructions to His disciples as they go out to spread His teachings. These verses encapsulate a profound approach to evangelism and interpersonal relationships. Jesus is advising His disciples on how to handle acceptance and rejection. The greeting of peace ("Peace be with you") is not merely a formality but a sincere wish for harmony and goodwill. It sets the tone for the disciples' mission, emphasizing the importance of peace and goodwill as foundational elements of their message.

Verse 13 introduces a conditional aspect to this peace. If the household is "deserving," meaning they are open and receptive to the message, then the peace offered by the disciples should remain. However, if the household rejects the message, the peace should "return" to the disciples. This suggests that peace, as a divine blessing, is not wasted or diminished by rejection but remains intact within the bearer.

Verse 14 provides practical advice on dealing with rejection. The act of shaking the dust off one's feet is symbolic. In Jewish culture, it was a gesture of disassociating oneself from those who rejected God's message, essentially saying, "We have fulfilled our duty; your fate is now your own responsibility." It underscores the importance of not being disheartened by rejection but continuing the mission with undiminished zeal.

These verses teach resilience and the value of maintaining one's inner peace and integrity, regardless of external acceptance or rejection. They highlight the importance of a respectful yet assertive approach to sharing one's faith and values. What they reject becomes their own fault or future s we always remember; It’s between them and God anyway. Others may lie to themselves but the humility of Christ within you instills prayer and transformation for anyone you meet. Sinners and Saints alike. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and for ever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

07-11-2024 Matthew 10 V-1214

**Peace Wish Upon House You Enter**

In a village where the pathways meet,

Among the humble and the elite,

Go forth with peace upon your tongue,

A story shared, a hymn unsung.

When you enter through their closed door,

Speak with love, and nothing more.

"Peace be with you," let it ring,

A gentle, hopeful offering.

If your peace is welcomed there,

Let it rest and linger, fair.

But if your words do not belong,

Find no fault, and humbly carry on.

Shake the dust from off your feet,

Leave behind the message incomplete.

For those who welcome not your grace,

Move forward to another place.

In each step, in every town,

Blessings lost and blessings found.

With faith and peace as your attire,

Spread the word, and never tire. Amen.
