Hebrews Chapter 7 V- 25 and 28

25 Therefore, he is always able to save those who approach God through him, since he lives forever to make intercession for them. 26 It was fitting that we should have such a high priest: holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, higher than the heavens. 27 He has no need, as did the high priests, to offer sacrifice day after day, first for his own sins and then for those of the people; he did that once for all when he offered himself. 28 For the law appoints men subject to weakness to be high priests, but the word of the oath, which was taken after the law, appoints a son, who has been made perfect forever.

Hebrews 7:25-28 beautifully encapsulates the essence of Jesus Christ as our eternal High Priest. The passage emphasizes His unique and unparalleled role in the redemption of humanity. It states that He is able to save completely those who come to God through Him, highlighting His divine authority and compassion. Jesus is not merely a figure of history; He is God in the flesh, who willingly became the Son, embodying holiness, innocence, and purity.

The text describes Jesus as "holy, innocent, undefiled, separated from sinners, and exalted above the heavens." These attributes affirm His divine nature and perfect character. Unlike the earthly priests, who were flawed and had to atone for their own sins, Jesus, the sinless Son of God, made the ultimate sacrifice. He hung on a Cross, experiencing the agony of human suffering, yet remaining fully divine. In His death, He bore the weight of our sins, bridging the chasm between God and humanity.

Moreover, His resurrection from the dead is the triumphant declaration of His divinity. Rising victorious, He overcame sin and death, proving that He is indeed "higher than the heavens." This duality of Christ—fully human and fully divine—reveals the profound mystery of the Gospel. Through His sacrifice, He not only intercedes for us but also invites us into a relationship with the Father.

In contemplating Hebrews 7:25-28, we are reminded that Jesus's priesthood is eternal and perfect. He is our advocate, our Savior, and our God, who understands our struggles yet remains untainted by sin. Let us rejoice in this truth, for in Him, we find hope, redemption, and everlasting life. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to pray:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

I am sorry Lord. I believe You died and rose for me. Please forgive me as I forgive others. I share You as my Lord and Savior seeking to live your Will in all things. Prayers for wife Toni and my mother Betty pray for our children especially our two oldest Alexandra & Allen Son in Law Mark Stern; Julian, Gabriel and Jeffrey and our grandchildren Oliver, Julian and Elliott. We pray for those we’ve said we’d pray for and those who’ve asked us to pray for them. We pray for the dying as we do each day Lord give them peace in their last breath. We pray for Holy Mother Church. Our prayers for our niece Brittany. In Jesus Precious Blood by His Name we pray. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

01-23-2025 Hebrews 7 v2528

**The Word of the Oath**

In heaven’s heights, our Savior reigns,

A holy Priest, through love unchained,

With innocence, He took our place,

God in the flesh, our sin erased.

He bore the cross, our pain He knew,

Undefiled, His heart was true,

Separated from all our strife,

He gave His breath, He gave us life.

Eternal grace, His mercy flows,

To those who seek, His love bestows,

A bridge of peace, He stands for all,

In every heart, His gentle call.

So let us rise, our voices raise,

In gratitude, in endless praise,

For He who died, now lives again,

Our Savior, God—our eternal friend. Amen.
