Acts of the Apostles Chapter 10 V- 34 through 43

34 Then Peter proceeded to speak and said, “In truth, I see that God shows no partiality. 35 Rather, in every nation whoever fears him and acts uprightly is acceptable to him. 36 You know the word [that] he sent to the Israelites as he proclaimed peace through Jesus Christ, who is Lord of all, 37 what has happened all over Judea, beginning in Galilee after the baptism that John preached, 38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the holy Spirit and power. He went about doing good and healing all those oppressed by the devil, for God was with him. 39 We are witnesses of all that he did both in the country of the Jews and (in) Jerusalem. They put him to death by hanging him on a tree. 40 This man God raised (on) the third day and granted that he be visible, 41 not to all the people, but to us, the witnesses chosen by God in advance, who ate and drank with him after he rose from the dead. 42 He commissioned us to preach to the people and testify that he is the one appointed by God as judge of the living and the dead. 43 To him all the prophets bear witness, that everyone who believes in him will receive forgiveness of sins through his name.”

Acts 10:34-43 is a pivotal passage that highlights the inclusive nature of the Gospel and the transformative power of the Holy Spirit. In this scripture, the Apostle Peter, having received a divine revelation, declares that God shows no favoritism and that the message of salvation through Jesus Christ is available to all people, regardless of their background. This marks a significant shift in the early Church, emphasizing that the love and grace of God extend far beyond the Jewish community to encompass the world.

In verses 38-43, Peter recounts the life and ministry of Jesus, emphasizing how God anointed Him with the Holy Spirit and power. This anointing was not just for Christ's own empowerment but serves as a model for believers today. When we accept Christ, we too are anointed with the Holy Spirit, empowering us to share the message of salvation. This is a call to action for all Christians to engage in the mission of spreading the Gospel.

Furthermore, Peter's proclamation reinforces the central tenet of eternal life through faith in Jesus. He testifies that all who believe in Him receive forgiveness of sins and the promise of eternal life. This assurance encourages believers to live in a way that reflects their faith, actively sharing the hope they have found in Christ with others.

As followers of Jesus, we are commissioned to embody His love and share the good news of salvation. The Holy Spirit equips us with the courage and strength needed to reach out to those who are lost, inviting them into a relationship with God. In doing so, we participate in the divine mission of reconciliation and hope, encouraging others to embrace the gift of eternal life. Amen.

Join me as we pray our daily prayer of forgiveness. The Lord’s Prayer.

At the Savior's command and formed by divine teaching, we dare to say:

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us; and lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil. Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil, graciously grant peace in our days, that, by the help of your mercy, we may be always free from sin and safe from all distress, as we await the blessed hope and the coming of our Savior, Jesus Christ. For the kingdom, the power and the glory are yours now and forever. Amen.

Ephesians 6:17-20

01-12-2025 Acts 10 v3443

**Healing all those Oppressed by the Devil**

In a world divided, Peter stood,

With words of grace, proclaiming good.

"God shows no favor," he boldly declared,

To every nation, His love is shared.

From heaven's heights, a vision came,

A sheet of blessings, in God's name.

No longer bound by walls of old,

The story of Christ now freely told.

"Jesus of Nazareth, anointed with power,

Healed the broken in every hour.

By the Spirit's breath, He walked the land,

Bringing hope and life with a gentle hand."

He bore our sins, the Lamb so pure,

In faith we find salvation sure.

Through His resurrection, death was undone,

Eternal life for everyone.

In every heart, the Spirit ignites,

A flame of love that shines so bright.

To share His message, we rise and go,

With grace unbounded, our faith will grow.

So let us gather, both near and far,

To spread the Gospel, our guiding star.

In unity we stand, His truth we proclaim,

For in Christ Jesus, we are all the same. Amen.
